They have been selected by the coordinator for their specialised skill and teaching experience and their expertise in working with children of all school ages. Nigel King After ten years of piano teaching, Nigel moved into heading an extensive high school music program. Always a passionate pianist himself, Nigel is once again providing tuition to keen piano students. A.Mus.A, L.Mus.A., D.S.C.M. DIP. Ed. Yumiko Yamaji-Delor is a piano teacher with over 20 year experience. Yumiko is also a pianist who has regularly performed solo recitals, in chamber music ensembles and even as a soloist with orchestra’s in Europe and in Japan. Yumiko studied with international pianists such as Alexander Jenner, Bernard Ringeissen, Andrej Jasinski, and Livia Rev, and obtained a Master of Arts (Music) in Japan and D.E. (French State Diploma for music teacher) in France. Yumiko is an experienced accompanist with a passion for performing and teaching chamber music. Yumiko specializes in teaching classical piano and can speak in French, Japanese and English. Yumiko is the instrumental program coordinator for the first semester 2020-2021. Antonio MARQUEZ MUZZIO Sydney, Australia based Drummer & Percussionist Jose Antonio, was born into a Latin American musical family of loving Chilean parents. His father Jose Snr. is regarded among many respectable musicians and historians as the most influential and leading expert percussionist & drummer of Afro Cuban music, both secular folkloric and popular dance. He is credited for having mentored countless drummers and percussionists, as well as having performed in Latin America & nationwide in Australia since his arrival in the 1970's. It was only natural, that with his father as his primordial teacher, mentor and influence, Jose begins formal classes at the of age 3. Presently, Jose is a successful drummer & percussionists who exceeds in his craft. He is in very high demand nationwide with a variety of artists and genres, often performing in high profile venues and major festivals as well as appearing live across Australian television programs. Not limited to performance & composition, Jose also offers private & group tuition. He presently has a growing stable of students under his tutelage. He has taught at various Primary and High Schools over the years. All of this while running his most recent business adventure, Jamm Productions. Eloise Evans is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She is an accomplished opera singer, recitalist, session singer, voice over artist and a highly recommended singing and piano teacher. For fifteen years Eloise has coached talented young pianists and singers in both classical and contemporary music styles for auditions, eisteddfods, concerts, HSC performances and AMEB examinations. Many of her students have auditioned successfully for the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Highschool, Berklee College of Music USA, Newtown Performing Arts School, The Australian International Conservatorium of Music and Performing Arts High School, ‘The Voice’ and ‘X Factor’. Eloise’s students are prize winners in major eisteddfods and several students have performed in professional musical theatre productions including ‘Billy Elliot’ (Capitol Theatre. Sydeny), ‘The Lion King’ (Capitol Theatre, Sydney) and several seasons with Opera Australia’s productions of ‘La Boheme’, ‘Turandot’, ‘The Magic Flute’, ‘Carmen’ and ‘Billy Bud’. Chloe graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Australian National University with a Major in Psychology and has been teaching piano for 10 years. As a teacher, she believes that everyone is unique & recognises that each student will learn and develop in their own time and pace. Chloe’s goal is to ensure that each of her students will feel comfortable as they learn the piano and continue to grow in their confidence and love for music! Amandine Petit is French born and completed a Master’s degree in musicology at the Université Marc Bloch and a bachelor of performance in singing and choir conducting at the Conservatoire de Musique of Strasbourg (France) before moving to Australia in January 2007. In France she has had several years of experience as a professional singer, vocal coach, music teacher and choral conductor. As a performer, she has been a regular member of the Chamber Choir of Strasbourg, touring with the group to Senegal, Germany and Switzerland and of the Choir of the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2003 she represented France as the anthem singer for the Rugby World Cup held in Australia. Other performance highlights include Berlioz’s Les Troyens at Opera du Rhin, L’Amour de Loin by Saariaho in Lebanon and various film and television score recordings. Since arriving in Sydney Amandine has sung regularly with Sydney Chamber Choir, Cantillation, Eminence Symphony Orchestra, The Parsons Affayre and was invited to perform the French anthem again in 2008, 2009 and 2014 for International France/ Wallabies games in Sydney and Brisbane. She is currently a free- lance soprano, music and vocal coach, teaching voice at International Grammar School, SCEGGS Darlinghurst and at the Conservatorium of Sydney’s high school. She is also choir conductor with Sydney Children’s Choir. Janet is an experienced teacher of violin/viola and piano and is also an experienced accompanist. She has successfully entered students for AMEB and St Cecilia exams. Janet completed her music diplomas at the Sydney Conservatorium after completing her schooling at the Conservatorium High School in the 1970's. She continues to participate in professional development courses for teachers and has done so throughout her teaching career. In the 80’s and 90’s, Janet freelanced regularly on viola with Sydney’s major professional orchestras including the Sydney Symphony and the Australian Opera and Ballet orchestra. She currently directs and plays in the Leonora Ensemble and continues to perform in freelance engagements. James Chan is a very experienced music teacher. He started learning the piano at the age of 11. By age 14 he won the Third Prize in The Hong Kong Composers Class Piano Solo Competition. He furthered his studies in Monash University (Bachelor of Arts (Music) & Bachelor of Economics). James also studied the piano under Trevor Barnard, a renowned international pianist and educator, whose teacher was a student of Ferruccio Busoni. He also completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from The University of Hong Kong. James had taught over 10 years in primary and secondary schools as a music teacher. He led many music activities, including keyboard groups, choirs, recorder groups, school orchestras, marching bands, musical productions, tone chime groups, etc. He has been teaching piano for over 20 years and all his students received B to A+ results in their AMEB exams. His students age range from 4 to 77 years old with a diverse background. James is fully bilingual in English and Chinese. He also provides piano accompaniment service for exams and functions. He loves teaching classical, jazz, contemporary and ethnic music. Apart from being a competent pianist and teacher, James also enjoys composing and performance. He composed an interlude and played it on the piano in the Australian TV series “Rake” in 2012. In 2011 James performed with the Australian Youth Orchestra in an Australian Tourism Campaign at the Sydney Opera House with great public response. James Audet is a classical guitar performer and educator from Sydney, Australia. He developed a passion for the guitar at the age of 10, and developed his skills throughout his younger schooling. In 2011 he was accepted into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he completed his Bachelor of Music Performance with Honours. During this degree, he was able to study under the renowned classical guitarists Guiseppe Zangari, Gregory Pickler, Marco Tamayo and Roger Lock. In 2015 he auditioned for and was successfully admitted to the degree of Masters of Classical Guitar at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, where he studied for 3 years under professor Marco Tamayo. In Australia, James has had an active performance career, playing concerts of both solo and chamber repertoire. He participated in the Sydney Baroque Music Festival in 2014, performing on the baroque guitar, and in the same year was awarded a highly-commended certificate in the Sydney Eisteddfod classical guitar competition. He has had experience in numerous chamber music settings including guitar duo and trio, guitar and flute, guitar and cello, and performing as part of a baroque chamber orchestra.
