OVERVIEW The Westley Hotel is an all out, full-service lifestyle boutique hotel, unlike any other in the city, perfect for both business and leisure. The soul of the building evokes the energy of the ‘good old days’, while the reincarnation as The Westley Hotel celebrates the new and undiscovered. Meant for doers and dreamers, the Hotel has been dressed for success, but poised for adventure. The Westley is not a typical hotel, so unexpect the expected.
LO C AT I O N The Westley Hotel is located in the thick of Calgary’s downtown financial district on 4th Avenue between 6th & 6th Street SW near the neighbourhood of Eau Claire. Whether hightailing it to catch a flight or taking the scenic route, The Westley Hotel has direct access to the airport or the Canadian Rocky Mountains via Memorial Drive to Deerfoot or Hwy #1.
HISTORY & DESIGN Revitalized and transformed by Frank Architecture, The Westley Hotel expertly combines vintage and modern looks through a refined color palette to represent wealth and success, while embracing aspects from the building’s 70s heritage. Nodding to the building’s 70s heritage, accents of velvet, fringe and brass throughout both public and private spaces creates a comfortable yet chic aesthetic that embraces a modern-meets-vintage setting. Contemporary art is featured throughout the hotel with custom pieces by local artists Maya Gohill and Tanya Klimp displayed in the restaurant and lobby. A custom light installation by renowned New York artist, Danielle Trofe, hangs above the hotel’s entrance.
