Before the event

      1. Set your goals and plan your schedule to meet them
It’s important to prioritise your SMART goals in order to apply a strategic plan of actions:
       How many sales leads do you want the conference to generate?
       How many qualified prospects do you want to meet?
       How many new appointments do you want to make?
       Which presentations don’t you want to miss?

ground and interest with your profession. Create your profile and post a picture. People want to see
who they are talking to, so it’s an opportunity to familiarise with other delegates before the event.

Tip: Key decision players are usually speakers and the influencers. Find out who they are in the
programme of the event. Contact them on the CWC Networking platform or LinkedIn to let them
know you will be attending and look forward to hearing their presentations. This is crucial as they
can help you get better networked into your targeted industry, or even be able to share ideas and
opportunities with you.

   3. Show your expertise
Share your knowledge across the CWC Networking or LinkedIn platform by: answering questions on
CWC groups, creating discussions, or updating your status. By doing so, you market yourself as an
expert in the field. Remember that your comments and discussions will appear on the homepage
news feed and by getting involved, you are advertising yourself and it keeps you in the mind of your
connections.

minimum.

1. During the sessions, ask questions
Do not be afraid to ask questions. By doing so, everyone would benefit from it. You also open an
opportunity to connect with more experienced delegates in your field who might answer your
questions. You can grow a relationship when you recognise a speaker for the valuable expertise. The
speakers appreciate your interest and you'll gain relationship equity with them.

   2. Round tables & speed-networking

Speed-networking
You don’t always know who is who. Speed-networking is fun, quick and focus on getting new

3. Coffee breaks, lunches and evening functions

Join the other delegates and take this opportunity to talk business, sessions or simply relax and have

After the event

Please remember to follow up. Your next opportunity is only a phone call or an email away!

       If possible e-mail your leads back to your office and send them the required information.
