Make a Difference By supporting the health and wellbeing of young people through the Dancing for Life Education Event DATE: 29 May 2021 VENUE: War Memorial Theatre
Welcome Pat Seymour: Chair: Life Education Trust Inc. Gisborne, East Coast & Wairoa Greetings to potential sponsors for this exciting new event Dancing for Life Education for Gisborne Tairawhiti. Our Educator teaches at all primary and intermediate schools and most Kura from the top of the Coast to Wairoa and inland to Matawai & Motu. Thank you for considering sponsorship of a dancer in this event to raise funds for Life Education so that we may continue to provide Life Education across this region. 1 Young people face many challenges growing up in our complex and changing world. Supporting Children’s health and well-being as they develop has never been more in need. Health, well-being and behaviour developed as a young person largely shape your success throughout life. Life Education gives young people knowledge and tools to make positive choices both now and in the future. Life Education raises all its funds locally and we hope that you will support your dancer in this great event . You will receive coverage in all our advertising in the Dance programme, the Gisborne Herald and the large promo signage that will go up across town before the event. Join our Dancers be their Sponsor. Dancing for Life Education is a fundraising programme developed by Life Education and the event will occur on the 29th May 2021 at the War Memorial Theatre. This extremely ambitious, successful ‘one night only’ production / concept, was originally launched in Whakatane back in 2009 and held in Taupo in 2019. 3 Now we have the opportunity to bring this awesome event to our Gisborne, East Coast and Wairoa region for 2021. 20 local identities have been shoulder tapped to participate. Over the coming 4 months our dance couples will be trained by local dance teachers, from their chosen dance genres. The event focuses on the entertainment factor more than technical manoeuvres. 20 local identities

All funds support Life Education Trust Gisborne, East Coast and Wairoa, to empower and 6 educate children in our community to make healthy choices and live full healthy lives. Growing up these days isn’t easy, children and adolescents face a lot of challenges, including: obesity, substance use, mental health and well-being and bullying. This is why Life Education exists. Every year Life Education teach 250,000 children nationwide about their body, friendships, their identity, food and nutrition and helpful and harmful substances.
