This year, Roald Dahl Day falls on Friday 13th, making it the perfect excuse for even more mischief and mayhem than usual. Celebrate all the tricks and characters that fill Roald Dahl’s books – from George and his marvellous medicine to those foulsome Witches After all, no birthday celebration is complete without a little mischief! George’s marvellous missing ingredients ‘George couldn’t help disliking Grandma. She was a selfish grumpy old woman. She had pale brown teeth and a small puckered-up mouth like a dog’s bottom.’ – George’s Marvellous Medicine George mixes up a revolting concoction for his grandma from ingredients around the house . . . 1. Collect 15 random household objects, for example Nevermore Ponking Deodorant and flea powder. 2. Lay all the objects on a table. 3. Give mischief-makers one minute to look at them. 4. Make everyone cover their eyes and hide a few objects. 5. Now let everyone look again – they have one minute to write down what’s missing. 6. The winner is the person who remembers the most objects.
