Dear Families, We have been busy planning for the 2021 Summer School Session, and I would like to invite your child(ren) to participate in this learning experience. Classes will run from Thursday, June 10th through Wednesday, June 30th; 8:00 am – 11:30 am. Class Offerings • The syllabus contains a listing of the possible class offerings. As in the past, the determination of which classes will be held is decided by students’ choices through the registration process. If many students sign up for one class, additional sections may be offered or enrollment may be limited, depending on teacher availability. If a class does not have enough students enrolled, or if health concerns change in the county, the class may not be offered. • As we continue to focus on education, we are requiring each student to register for a minimum of 2 academic classes. These classes are listed in the very front of the booklet. To complete you child’s schedule, select choices from either the 1st or the 2nd sections, for a total of 6 choices in order of preference. In the event several of your child’s priority choices are unavailable, you will be contacted in order to make other selections. When looking at the syllabus, use the grade level your child will be in for the 2021-2022 school year. Student Drop Off and Pick Up Areas • The only door being used for student drop off and pick up is the main elementary office door. Parents, please do not drop your child(ren) off before 7:45 am and be ready to pick them up at 11:45 am. No parents or visitors will be allowed in the building to reduce health concerns, so we appreciate your help with this matter. Health Precautions (May change per Clark County Health Department updates) • All faculty members will be required to wear a face covering while working with your child(ren). • Students will have their temperature checked and be asked health questions every day before they are allowed into the school. It is required that students wear a face covering. • Parents/guardians/visitors are not allowed in the building. This step will help us to reduce health concerns that anyone may have. • Classrooms will have hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies so that teachers and students can clean frequently during the day. While completing this registration, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Elementary Office at 255-8561. We look forward to including your child(ren) in this summer school experience. Sincerely, Nancy Popp Principal
