Lodestar 2018 Friday June 8th- Sunday June 10th Welcome to Lodestar 2018 This packet contains important information that you’ll want to refer to before and during (so bring with you!) your time at Lodestar 2018. Included are the packing list, map and directions to Lodestar Camp, plus an hourly schedule for the weekend. Camp Arrival Details and General Overview The retreat begins Friday night with check-in starting at 6 pm, games off and on all evening and the official Welcome Gathering scheduled for 7:45 pm. Please have dinner prior to arrival and bring snacks to add to the snack table (please refrain from high caffeine energy items). There will be games and arts and crafts throughout the evening and the pool will open from 8:30-10:00. When you turn onto the Lodestar facility from Schaads Road, follow signs to the Main Lodge/Dining Hall to check in and receive your cabin assignment. Once you’ve settled in, return to the Lodge for fun, snacks and games. If your email address is provided on the registration form, room assignments will be emailed in advance. On Saturday morning the acolytes, youth and adults will meet together for an intergenerational activity. Then at 10 acolytes, youth and those adults who would like will go to the ropes courses and there will be a Bible study and activity for those who prefer something different. There will be a separate program for our younger children on Saturday morning.. After lunch you’ll choose from a wide variety of crafts and activities. Then the pool will open. This year there will be opportunities for children age 6 through adult to participate in the low and high rope courses. Saturday night is "Camp Night" complete with campfire, singing, making s'mores, and Get Smart (a night running game for everyone!), we will also have favorite activities of camp: Ping Pong and Corn Hole Tournaments, Legos, and, evening swimming. Sunday we will worship amid the beauty of nature, participate in Lodestar Family Feud, enjoy lunch and then return home. There will be an after lunch pool time. That’s it! - A great long weekend of fellowship, relaxation, and getting closer to God with all meals freshly prepared by the wonderful Lodestar kitchen crew. Located at an elevation of 3,000 feet in the sierra foothills outside Wilseyville, Camp Lodestar occupies 425 acres of meadow and woodland beauty.
