Dean’s Letter 4 Parents and Families, Welcome (back) to campus. This weekend you’ll have lots of opportunities to learn more about campus and the classes and activities that your student is involved in on campus. Yale-NUS College students are encouraged to grow academically, to better understand themselves as individuals, and to develop the ability to communicate and work across cultures and differences. I hope you’ll be able to take advantage of some of these opportunities as well. Over the weekend you can experience two sample lectures from faculty members and meet President Tan. We’ll have break-out sessions on topics of interest, as well as open question and answer sessions. There will be opportunities to explore Yale-NUS College with your students, and plenty of chances to eat in the dining halls and spend time in your student’s college home, their Residential College. Our students have been hard at work, building a community with other students, faculty and staff. We are all excited to welcome you to this special place and hope you’ll find a community here as well. Welcome to Family Weekend! Dean Bridges
