Territory Definitions North Carolina South Carolina Georgia Coastal: Territories 42 & 43 Coastal: Beaufort, Coastal: Not Eligible: Territory 41 Charleston, Georgetown, Horry, Direct Bill This is a Direct Bill program issued through Johnson & Johnson. Payment in full must be received with all new business applications. Financing is acceptable. Upon completion of an issued policy, Johnson & Johnson will produce a declaration page, any adjustment bills (if applicable), renewals, and renewal invoice. All policies will be dispersed directly from our office to the insured. Please inquire for more details. Check List Before you mail the application, please confirm that you have enclosed all of the following: • Signed & Completed Application • Payment in Full • 2 Photographs • Completed Home Cost Estimator • Completed Form F (North Carolina applicants only) Quoting All quotes may be obtained by logging into our web-site at www.jjins.com. Select the Specialty Personal Lines icon and follow the links accordingly. This system will allow you to quote a risk and print an application for issuance. JJPF finance quotes are also available through this site.
General Rules 1. Application The agent’s and applicant’s signature are required. 2. Photographs Two photographs of the house, front & back, are required. 3. Insurance to Value Homes written on the DP3 form must be insured to a minimum of 100% of its full replacement cost, excluding land value. A home cost estimator is required with application. 4. Policy Fee A $75 policy fee applies to the Coastal DP3 $100,000- $1,000,000. 5. Policy Term Policies are written for a term of one year. Effective time – 12:01 a.m. Standard Time. 6. Cancellation Rule No flat cancellations on new business is allowed if coverage has been provided under our policy. 7. Transfer or Assignment Our policies may not be transferred or assigned. 8. Minimum Earned Premium There is a 25% minimum earned premium. 9. Claims Verification A report showing the past claim activity may be ordered to verify claim history. 10. Credit Scores Credit Scores may used as part of our underwriting evaluation. 11. Inspections An outside inspection may be used as part of our underwriting evaluation.
General Underwriting Rules CONSTRUCTION • Acceptable Type o Frame o Masonry including brick veneer o Superior including wind-restrictive or fire resistive construction o Log construction (home or dwellings only) in protected areas o Modular homes must be permanently affixed to a continuous foundation and must meet all underwriting guidelines. You must specify the modular home manufacturer in the Additional Comments section of the application. Refer ALL modular construction to underwriting • Unacceptable Type o Drivet o EIFS – Exterior Insulation and Finish System o Geodesic dome or other dome style construction o ICB – Concrete filled Styrofoam o Manufactured or modular homes not permanently affixed to a continuous foundation – refer ALL modular construction to underwriting o Mobile homes o Synthetic stucco or other synthetic materials OCCUPANCY • Acceptable Type o Primary residence – The principal home location for the insured. o Secondary residence – Other than the principal home location for the insured. o Seasonal residence - Other than the principal home location for the insured used on a seasonal basis only. o Long term rental – A secondary residence leased to other for more than 4 consecutive months o Short term rental – A secondary residence leased to others for less than 4 consecutive months • Unacceptable Type o Business on premises o Day care, nursing home, bed and breakfast or any other incidental business exposure on premises o Multiplex buildings (more than 4 units)
