Upon arrival at Broome Airport, collect your baggage and meet your Swagman Tours driver and guide. You will then transfer to the Oaks Broome Hotel. Enjoy the afternoon to settle into you hotel. Oaks Broome will be our home for the next three nights. Clinging to the peninsula overhanging the gorgeous Roebuck Bay, the historic outback town of Broome is the largest town in the vast area of Kimberley. Known for its colourful gardens, gorgeous powder-white beaches lapped by crystal-clear turquoise waters, and an abundance of frangipani and coconut trees, Broome offers an oasis of paradise in an otherwise desolate landscape. A thriving community of artists and entrepreneurs have set up an impressive host of galleries, craft stores, quaint cafes and breweries. The town boasts an unusual fusion of colonial Australian and Asian architectural styles, some remarkably friendly locals, and a vibrant Saturday morning market in the immaculate tropical gardens of the Court House. With its world-famous beaches, its wonderfully relaxing atmosphere and its exceptionally scenic natural surroundings, Broome is the perfect place to 'slip into Broome time' - as the locals say.

Day 2: Oaks Broome, Broome (Sat, 29 May) Day Itinerary This morning you’ll see the highlights of Broome including Chinatown, the Sun outdoor theatre, the Japanese Pearl Divers Cemetery, Antastasia’s Pool, Gantheaume Point and the Dinosaur’s footprints. After lunch, activities will involve visiting Roebuck Plains Station which is a pastoral lease located close to Town and is able to support 20,000 head of cattle plus seeing the marshalling/loading of cattle from Broome Port (subject to confirmation) for the live export trade into the Pacific Rim, Middle East and South East Asia. Dinner out this evening (own expense). Included Breakfast Day 3: Oaks Broome, Broome (Sun, 30 May) Day Itinerary A free day for private sightseeing. Maybe take the opportunity to go fishing. The day is yours to do as you please and to soak up the colour and atmosphere of this pearling town or alternatively see the below options: WILLIE CREEK – PEARL LUGGERS Make your way to the departure point for your 1½ hr Pearl Luggers Tour. View some of the last remaining pearl luggers in Broome. Enjoy fascinating guided commentary and learn about the history of pearling in Broome. Page |5 HORIZONTAL FALLS OPTIONAL TOUR – AM / PM HALF DAY or FULL DAY Fly from Broome to Horizontal Falls on board a Seaplane and enjoy a spectacular landing on the calm waters of Talbot Bay. Transfer to fast boat and enjoy the experience the incredible tidal power of this natural phenomenon as you are taken through the falls. Enjoy breakfast or lunch on the houseboat. Experience the thrill of swimming in the huge croc/shark free cage while feeding the friendly fish. Have your cameras ready as you take off from Talbot Bay for our return flight. Fly at 200m over hundreds of islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago and Cape Leveque before heading south along the coast of the Dampier Peninsula over Lombadina, Beagle Bay, Carnot Bay, Willie Creek & Cable Beach prior to landing in Broome. Included Breakfast Day 4: Spinifex Hotel, Derby (Mon, 31 May) Day Itinerary After breakfast we leave Broome behind us, travel east along the Great Northern Highway toward the small settlement of Derby. Along the way see the 1000 year old Prison Boab Tree and the Myall Stock Trough plus the circular wharf overlooking picturesque King Sound. Time permitting, visit Liveringa Station. A pastoral lease operating as a cattle station with capacity of carrying over 22,000 head of cattle and has a 100km frontage on the Fitzroy River. Arrive at Spinifex Hotel and check in for overnight stay. Situated on the edge of the King Sound, in Western Australia’s Kimberley Region, Derby is a outback town, which serves as a popular stopover for travellers heading into the gorge country of the vast north. The town is also the primary gateway to Gibb River Road, the Windjana Gorge National Park, the Tunnel Creek National Park, and the remote little islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. One of Derby’s main attractions is the huge Boab Prison Tree which is thought to be about 1500 years old. Other popular attractions include the Wharfingers House Museum, the Botanical Gardens, the Old Derby Gaol, and an art gallery showcasing some interesting Aboriginal art and design. Overnight: Spinifex Hotel The Spinifex is an iconic hotel in the Kimberley. Recently rejuvenated by the new management, the “Spini” is a jewel in the crown of WA’s top end.The Hotel provides guests with a range of facilities including a full bar, restaurant, and TAB, plus brand new motel style accommodation, swimming pool, BBQ’s, and a conference room.
Page |6 There are many reasons for visiting Derby on business or for pleasure. For instance, the town serves as a regional administrative and supply centre. However, most visitors are more interested in the Buccaneer Archipelago, Horizontal Waterfall, boab trees, the Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge National Park, Tunnel Creek, Wharfinger’s House Museum… And the list goes on. Included Breakfast & Dinner Day 5: Fitzroy River Lodge, Fitzroy Crossing (Tue, 1 June) Day Itinerary This morning after breakfast, Travel along the eastern end of the Lennard Ranges to visit Tunnel Creek to walk through the underground stream, marvelling at this unique stream in its arid environment. See freshwater crocodiles in the pools then continue to Gorge. On with the walking shoes for a stroll into the gorge – a fossilised barrier reef with spectacular walls soaring 90 metres above the riverbed. Time permitting and subject to acceptance we may be able to squeeze in a visit to the iconic Fossil Downs Station. Continue your journey, ending the day travelling to our next accommodation where you will have a Safari tent experience (private ensuites). Set on the banks of the mighty Fitzroy River, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, Fitzroy Crossing is a quintessential Australian outback town. This small settlement services local stations and acts as a convenient stopover for travellers exploring the scenic Kimberley area or those en-route to the Bungle Bungles Purnululu National Park, or Kununurra and Darwin. Enjoy views of the spectacular multi-coloured 30 metre deep cliffs carved by the floodwaters of the Fitzroy River through the Devonian fossil reef. You will be given an insight into the wildlife and geology of the gorge and birds such as sea eagles and rare purple- crowned fairy-wrens may be observed along with acrobatic crocodiles snapping at stray flying-foxes. After your tour, travel toward the historic township of Halls Creek, a busy service town for surrounding pastoralists, Aboriginal communities and travellers. Upon arrival travel out to the original Old Halls Creek site where gold was discovered in 1885 and see the crumbling mud brick ruins plus the China Wall – a natural quartzite formation. Also visit the statue in the town park known as ‘Russian Jack’ and hear about his heroic act journey to the Kimberley Hotel in Halls creek. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. Situated in the heart of the outback on the edges of the Tanami and the Great Sandy Deserts, in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, the old gold rush town of Halls Creek is the final destination along the well-known Canning Stock Route.

P a g e | 10 Day 9: Kununurra Lakeside Resort, Kununurra (Sat, 5 June) Day Itinerary Leaving Emma George behind us, we traverse El Questro Station and enjoy some time for a stroll in picturesque Zebedee Springs set among the palm trees, with its circular gorge wall and crystal clear thermal rock pool. Afterwards travel to the northernmost town of Wyndham and marvel at the view of the Kimberley, it’s rivers and Cambridge Gulf from the Five Rivers Lookout. Continue to Kununurra, our stay for the next 3 nights. Located close to the confluence of the Ord and the Dunham rivers, in the far north of Western Australia, Kununurra is the largest town north of Broome. The town is set amongst rugged hills, mountain ranges, and abundant lakes. The main attraction in the area is Lake Argyle, Australia's largest artificial lake, which is just 70 kilometres south of Kununurra. Visitors can look forward to a wide variety of activities including: exploring the nearby Purnululu National Park, a World Heritage Site; soaking up a sunset view from Kelly’s Knob viewpoint; or taking an exciting boat trip up the Ord River to spot crocodiles, kingfishers, eagles, bats and more. Other popular activities include: horse riding, fishing, swimming as well as 4x4 outback adventures and scenic flights. P a g e | 11 Day 10: Kununurra Lakeside Resort, Kununurra (Sun, 6 June) Day Itinerary This morning our local guide joins us for a tour of the town itself, the Ord River irrigation scheme farms, Ivanhoe Crossing, Diversion Dam, Indian sandalwood plantations, hybrid seed production plus chia, melon and pumpkin crops. Later, travel out to see the relocated homestead of the pioneering Durack family, then board your cruise boat for the 55km cruise along the Ord River from the dam wall at Lake Argyle back into Kununurra township. Marvel at the spectacular scenery, wildlife, flora and fauna found along the way, including the elusive freshwater crocodile! Enjoy afternoon tea at our riverside camp before a spectacular Kimberley sunset. Dinner will be at own expense this evening. Included Breakfast Day 11: Kununurra Lakeside Resort, Kununurra (Mon, 7 June) Day Itinerary After breakfast you may wish to join an optional excursion today (additional expense). ORD RIVER, BUNGLE BUNGLE & LAKE ARGYLE 2 HOUR SCENIC FLIGHT Enjoy a morning Ord River, Bungle Bungle & Lake Argyle Experience inc. landing on Lake Argyle for morning tea! After being collected from accommodation you will be transferred to the departure point. Taking off from the water’s edge in a Kimberley Air Tours float plane, see the Ord River Irrigation Area, the mighty Ord River and Spillway Creek, the overflow for Lake Argyle. From the air, you will view the Durack Family Homestead, Argyle Downs and the Ord River Hydro power station in action below the Ord Top Dam wall. Continue your adventure down the full 60km expanse of Lake Argyle. Learning about the cattle and mining industries as you pass over working Kimberley cattle stations and the Bow River Diamond Mine. Admire the 240,000 ha Purnululu National Park, as the Bungle Bungle massif rises 300m out of the desert to meet you. Discover the awe inspiring striped bee hive domes and the famous Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Gorge as you orbit the range and see the Argyle Diamond Mine, the largest producer of pink and coloured diamonds in the world and the Carr Boyd range on your return to Kununurra. P a g e | 12 BUNGLE BUNGLE WANDERER FULL DAY Start your day with a one-hour scenic flight from Kununurra in an air-conditioned, high wing aeroplane flying over the Ord Irrigation Area, the Ord Top Dam wall, Lake Kununurra and the full expanse of Lake Argyle. View the Carr Boyd Ranges, Osmand Ranges, the Ord River and Bow River. Experience spectacular aerial views of the Bungle Bungle in the Purnululu National Park. Land at a remote unsealed airfield in the Purnululu National Park and transfer to an airconditioned 4WD bus, your local guide will drive you closer to the Bungle Bungle Range and explain the significance of this World Heritage listed area to the traditional owners. Enjoy a moderate 3km guided walk amongst the famous eroded towers and black and orange banded beehive structures on the Domes Walk. Your guide will take you into Catherdral Gorge, where towering cliffs open up to form a space with awe inspiring natural acoustics, here you will rest and enjoy your lunch. Walk along the bed of Piccaninny Creek, which flows only in the Monsoon waterfall season. Learn about the Kimberley climate, the six seasons and unique flora and fauna so important to the traditional custodians of the land. Included Breakfast Day 12: Knotts Crossing Resort, Katherine (Tue, 8 June) Day Itinerary Leaving Kununurra behind us, we cross the border into the Northern Territory before stopping off at Timber Creek on the mighty Victoria River. Pass through some of the largest station properties in the Top End before reaching your accommodation where you will check in for 2 nights. Enjoy dinner at the property upon your arrival. Katherine is a serene town located just outside the borders of the Nitmiluk National Park, which is owned by the indigenous Jawoyn Aboriginal people and jointly managed with the local Parks and Wildlife Commission. Tourists use Katharine as a base from which to explore the Edith Falls, scenic Jatbula Trail and the Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park. Alternatively, visit the Top Didj Cultural Experience to take in authentic Aboriginal art and culture, relax in the crystal clear Katherine Hot Springs, or take a walk along the river bed on a path that leads to Katherine Low level Nature Reserve.

Properties will most likely be commercial cattle producers with stock bred for the live export trade. We will also visit the Katherine Research Station to see their research and development on pasture/grass management along with an export feed cubing plant, export stock yards and handling facility plus see the pivot irrigation area growing feed for the cube plant. Later in the day visit the Katherine Ag College to see a practical outback educational experience. Included Breakfast & Dinner Day 14: Travelodge Resort Darwin, Darwin (Thu, 10 June) Day Itinerary This morning we depart for Darwin. We head along the Stuart Highway towards Edith Falls, a series of cascading waterfalls and pools on the Edith River. We then continue on the solemn but beautiful Adelaide River War Cemetery to see the military graves honoring those killed in the bombing of Darwin. Upon arrival at the check into your hotel and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

The city is a melting pot of different cultures, with more than 50 nationalities represented here. With a strong Asian influence, you can expect a kaleidoscope of cuisines and a cultural blend of Thai, Sri Lankan, Japanese, Indian, Chinese and Malaysian. Darwin's city centre buzzes with a lively tourist vibe, while unique museums celebrate the city's past and galleries showcase the region's rich indigenous art. Sail to the intriguing Tiwi Islands, take a speedboat ride or go fishing in a tinny – the local version of a small boat. Included Breakfast & Dinner Day 15: Travelodge Resort Darwin, Darwin (Fri, 11 June) Day Itinerary This morning a representative from the Northern Territory Cattleman’s Council will speak about the state of play of the pastoral industry in the Top End (subject to confirmation). Afterwards travel out of Darwin to visit an export mango farm that produces mangoes and starfruit to supply the major supermarkets throughout the country. After lunch travel to Berry Springs and visit the Territory Wildlife Park in time to see the Birds of Prey presentation.
P a g e | 15 This expansive park has three main areas; the Wetlands with its aquarium, lagoons and billabongs housing tropical fish, turtles, and both species of crocodile. A Monsoon Vine Forest which hosts a 1km boardwalk gently lifting toward the canopy of natural bushland to view the array of birdlife and finally a Woodland area that includes a Nocturnal house, where you have the opportunity to see animals rarely seen in the wild. This evening is free to dine out (own expense).
