Junior Tennis · Winter
Important Notice:
Our tennis courts, fitness center, restrooms and club house will remain open with
similar restrictions and reservations as this past summer.
Masks are required in the club house but not on the tennis courts while playing.
Locker rooms and showers will not be available. Congregating in the club house or
lounge before or after court time will not be permitted. All players must pass a
wellness and temperature check before entering the building. Hand sanitizer is
available throughout the facility.
With safety as our utmost priority we will follow all recommended guidelines from
the State of CT, Town of Madison and USTA. We recommend you familiarize
yourself with the guidelines prior to arriving at the club. Changes may be made at
any time in accordance with these guidelines.

Tennis Court Hours
Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am - 9:30 pm
Friday 6:00 am - 8:30 pm
Saturday—Sunday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Locker rooms and showers are not available. Restrooms are available inside the Club House. Please bring
your own non-glass, refillable water bottle.
Open Court Reservations:
Please call the front desk. Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance.
Non-members: Doubles $20.00 per person per hour
Singles $30.00 per person per hour
Active Tennis Members: 20% discount on open court time
Fitness Center Reservations:
Please call the front desk.
Non-members: $10
No Charge for Year Round and Three Season Members

Junior Tennis Clinics
Programs run November 16 through April 11. No classes Nov 25 - 29 and Dec 23 - Jan 3.
At MRSC we use the USTA Net Generation format which provides a unique opportunity for younger
players to be introduced to the fundamentals of the game. The courts, balls, rackets and nets have been
resized for children who are learning the game. Our goal for all levels in our junior program is to have fun,
learn the fundamentals of the game and advance to the next level by working hard. Our three levels of
development include recreational, introduction to competitive, and competitive.

Is your older child interested in learning tennis?
Kids in the Game 9 Week Introductory Clinic
Programs run from November 16 to February 5 with a second session February 12 to April 9
This intro to tennis clinic is for middle school to high school children who are interested in
learning tennis. Using green dot tennis balls and beginner drills allows us to build the foundation
of a tennis game including swing technique and foot work. Players will graduate from this clinic
and move on to Rising Stars or Junior Development. Sign up online!

Introduction to Competitive Tennis · Winter 2020
Programs run November 16 through April 11. No classes Nov 25 - 29 and Dec 23 - Jan 3.
Our Introduction to Competitive Tennis programs move your child into the next level after establishing a
foundation of skills through our Net Generation Program. In a fun yet competitive environment our junior
players get exposure to competitive play and game strategy.

UTR Mad Team Tennis
A great way to develop match play skills with other players in our Junior
Development Program, 10 & Under USTA Team and ATP programs.

Friday 6:00 - 8:00 pm
10 & Under USTA Team
This special clinic is designed to give our competitive 10 & Under Team the edge
during USTA matches. This clinic covers advanced technique and strategy all while
having fun. We teach our clinic in actual game style situation to ensure the kids hit
as many balls as possible. Each week players will have stroke technique & strategy
for 45 mins and match play for 45 mins.

Junior Development Program
20 week program runs November 16 through April 11, no class Dec 28
We often refer to our Jr. Development Program as our introduction to ATP. The
class uses green dot balls so players can begin to learn how to construct
strategic points and works on the building blocks for competitive play. These
players are encouraged to play USTA Junior Team and UTR Team Tennis.
Non-member: $1075
A minimum deposit of 25% is required at sign up. Monthly payments plans are
available upon request.

Junior Competitive Tennis · Winter
USTA Junior Team Tennis
Saturdays and Sundays we participate in the Southern CT USTA Junior
League with matches against other clubs. Please speak with the Director of
Tennis for more info on participating clubs. Registration Fee required.
USTA Match Fee: Non-Member: $35
Our 14&U teams have been New England Champions and have advanced to nationals a total of eight times, includ-
ing the last seven years in a row. Our Junior Team Tennis Program is in the top 1% in the Country.
Shoreline High School Program
Program runs November 16 to April 11, no class Dec 29
Looking to join the tennis team? This evening session will help strengthen your game and prepare you for
your high school team. Target professional to student ratio is 8-1. Six player minimum required.

ATP - Advanced Tournament Player Program
Junior HS programs run from November 16 to April 11
HS programs run from November 16 through March 19
No classes Nov 25 - 27 and Dec 24 - 26
Our flagship junior tennis program develops skilled players who compete in sectional and national
tournaments. This competitive program is designed for junior players who want to achieve a USTA
ranking. We recommend players come twice a week and are expected to compete in UTR and USTA
Tournaments. UTR matches must be booked and paid for online at www.myUTR.com
Drop-In Non-Member: $70
We encourage full session enrollment which is a savings of 10% off the daily drop in fee.
