BEACH BASH FAQ’s
PRE-CAMP

What are the dates for camp and where will it be?
  • Saturday, July 17 – Friday, July 23, 2021
  • Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center
20016 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32413
     www.christiancamp.com

When are we leaving?
  • We are leaving on Saturday, July 17 from the parking lot at JCI.
o High school students and leaders load in at 1:00 p.m. and will
          leave by 2:00 p.m.
o Middle school students and leaders load in at 3:00 p.m and will
          leave by 4:00 p.m.
  • Students will need to have eaten lunch prior to departure. We will
provide dinner and breakfast on the way down to Florida. We will arrive
to the camp by lunch on the 18th.

How are we getting there?
  • We are taking coach buses that have reclining seats, TV’s, outlets, and a
     bathroom.
  • We try to have guy and girl buses only. If there is a co-ed bus they will
     be divided by leaders.
  • Buses will stop half-way through the ride to and from camp to receive a
     new driver.

Will my student need any money while on the trip?
  • Yes. Students will need money for the snack shop and or gift shop at
camp. Meals at camp are already paid for. Most students bring $75-$100
for souvenirs and snacks. We will also have some new and exclusive
camp-themed merchandise that students will likely want to purchase as
well. If students want to purchase souvenirs there (t-shirts, beach
items,…), that would be extra of course!
  • Avoid large bills such as 50’s and 100’s. 20’s or smaller would be ideal.
Credit cards are an acceptable form of payment.

                                                                                1
When do I check my student in for camp?
  • We will hold a pre-check in on Wednesday, July 14, 5:00 – 9:00p.m. &
on Thursday, July 15, 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. This will help us leave on
    time Saturday, July 17.
  • Balance of payment for camp is due at this time. If financial assistance is
needed, please let us know and we can send you a link where you can
apply for financial help. We do not want finances to get in the way of
your student being a part of Beach Bash 2021!
  • Any medical information and/or medicines need to be dropped off and
communicated to camp nurses at check-in. There will be two camp
nurses who are moms of students in our Student Ministry and also RN’s
that are joining us for the week.
