Hi All Hope you had a Merry Xmas and joyful New Year. With being the holiday period for most, I do hope you had a chance to go fishing. I look forward to hearing all the reports on my return from my own holidays and don’t forget our Australia Day Billfish Tournament where briefing/ sign on is Thursday 21st January. Keep on fishing... Maddy It’s definitely holiday time
G'day All, Hope you all had a great Christmas and look forward to a Happy New Year with some good fishing of course. Thanks for a great turn out to the Christmas BBQ despite the weather, all enjoyed and had fun especially the kids. Santa showed up "ring a ding ding" making the afternoon entertaining to say the least, thanks Santa. A big thanks to Maddie and John for hosting the BBQ at their place and for all others involved in setting up for the afternoon. If your on Facebook you will have noticed I regularly put up the fishing reports from tackle shops and charters from Hervey Bay to the Tweed. If you wouldn't mind sending me through reports of what your catching and general areas of where your catching for a better idea of what's around and to share with other members, if you can email me at clubcaptain@rpgsc.com that would be much appreciated. Next month is the Australia Day Billfish Tournament on the 23rd and 24th of January with registration being Thursday the 21st of January, download your entry form from the web site.
G’day Gang, A fitting last weigh in for the year that was 2020 – it was cancelled. The rubbish weather kept us away from our beloved club area and the fish. Good news is that means JACKPOT!! Offshore species can be either Seriola lalandi or Rachycentron canadum variety - $150.00 Extra brownie points if the weigh master gets to take a slab of one home And the inshore Species – Trachinotus botla- $100.00 The January Comp is upon us, if you need tags let me or any of the committee know. Please remember we don’t have them replaced until we send them back in so be mindful of how many you actually have and need on hand. They will be available on every day of the tournament and we won’t run out. Until then, keep a bend in it! Skinny

Christy my daughter caught her 1st black marlin last week and looks like we will be getting some new club members. We went 7,5,1 on Wednesday at the Hards. There has been a few fish out there. I battled what we think was a yellowfin tuna of about 30kg on 8 for 50 mins before thumbed the spool(impatient). There has been some good reports coming from the trench also. Tight Lines, Ralph
