Dear Valued Members of Greensburg Country Club,

As we all go through the COVID-19 crisis, I would like to thank all the members who
have continued to support our Club with their Take-out orders; every bit helps. I would
also like to thank all the staff members who have been able to come to work and provide
this small amenity to our members. We hope that this service has
provided some enjoyment for our members and staff. Thank you to the owners for
allowing some of the employees to continue working during this time of crisis; our staff
appreciates all you have done.

90% of all restaurants closed down due to COVID-19, including ours. As you
probably know, this has created a hardship for many industry workers, especially those
that rely on tips. Most of Greensburg Country Club’s hourly employees have been
furloughed along with some of the salaried staff. This will likely continue until the
government allows our employees to come back to work.

At this time, I would like to thank the several members who have contributed
monies to the Employee Contribution Fund started at the Club. These funds are to be
distributed to our valued team members that have been furloughed due to the
crisis and are struggling with their expenses. All of these funds will go to staff members
that need help financially.

There is no obligation on the part of any member to contribute to this fund. We just
wanted to let you know that if you were looking for an opportunity to help, we do have a
mechanism in place for you to do so. If you would like to contribute towards the
Employee Contribution Fund, please let me or Jason Hopkinson at
jh@greensburgcc.com, know directly.

  Pairing’s Party - Thursday, May 14 @ 7:00 PM
                  in Grille Room
Players will sign up as individuals and be paired “A,B,C,D” by the
                          Professional Staff.
  Sign up on the board, though the tournament program, or by
                calling the golf shop 724-837-3230!

          From the Membership Corner:
          We are having a Member Contest! Please bring us your referrals!! Refer a new
          Member and receive a $250 Food & Beverage credit, plus get
          entered into a drawing for monthly prizes. Contest will run from Mar 1, 2020
          through June 30, 2020. Prizes will be drawn on the last day of each month
          starting in Mar, ending in June. There will be one grand prize for the most
          referred Members on June 30, 2020. (Community, Pool & Corporate
          Memberships do not get the $250 F & B credit, but will be entered into the
          monthly drawing.)
          Our current Membership promotion is 2 Individual Golf
          Memberships for 2 Years for $2020 each per year. That is an overall

Chats with Chuck
We hope you are all staying safe and finding new ways to work on your golf game! As the
newsletter is being composed, the timeline for reopening the golf course is still hazy. Chuck is
hopeful for a early May start to our season. Therefore, the tournament schedule is being revised
as follows:

Match Play Club Championship Bracket Posted – Sunday, May 10
Sign-up deadline – Saturday, May 9 @ 5:00pm
   • Matches may begin as soon as the golf course is able to reopen
   • Limited to the first 32 players to enter
   • Random seeding within the bracket
   • All matches will be played using full USGA handicaps at the time of the match
   • Men will play the White tees, those that qualify may play the Green or Gold tees
   • Matches must be completed within 4 weeks or both competitors are disqualified

Opening Day – Saturday, May 16
  • This will be an 9:00 am shotgun start
  • Format: Two Best Net Balls of Four using 90% handicap
  • Players will sign up as individuals and be drafted A, B, C, D within groups
  • Men will play the White tees, those that qualify may play the Green or Gold tees
  • Pairing’s Party – Thursday, May 14 @ 7:00pm in the Grille Room

Spring Fling – Canceled for 2020

 Junior Golf - May 30
The plan for the 2020 Junior Golf season has not changed as of yet. If you have not signed up,
please see the website for a 2020 Junior Golf Packet.
As part of the Junior Program, we will be hosting junior clinics on Tuesdays, May 19 and 26.
Your child may attend at either 4:00pm or 5:00 pm.
The Parent/Junior Series will begin on Saturday, May 30 with a 3:00 shotgun, 9-hole Chapman
format. Please check your email for sign-up information!

The Greensburg Country Club’s Swim Team will be looking for new members for this year’s
season. Please contact the Club Office at (724)-837-1810 for more information and how you can be
a part of the Fighting Fish! If anyone is interested in Private
Lessons or a “learn to swim” Program, Coach Erdos would be
happy to get in contact with you. Swim Team swimsuit Fitting is
May 17, 2020 at 3:00PM.Coach Erdos will be in attendance to meet
with the team. Please let us know in advance if your child will be
attending.

                                Golf Course Maintenance
                                Update from Tobin
With the current challenges and course closures across the country, BrightView is working with
Greensburg Country Club to provide a modified maintenance program until we are all back to a
business as usual scenario.
These programs are designed to provide essential maintenance practices at a reduced level to keep the
golf courses in a holding pattern until we are clear to reopen. The programs will allow the courses to
resume play within a short timeline
The golf maintenance team at Greensburg Country Club are committed to following the CDC guide-
lines for social distancing and COVID-19 mitigation.

Mother’s Day To-Go Order!
Mother’s Day Sunday May 10, 2020. This menu is available for To-Go Orders for
$27.00 Per Person, 12:00 PM-5:00 PM. So please, if we can help you prepare your
Mother’s Day Dinner
(Purchase a great bottle of wine to go with it). Orders will NOT be taken Mother’s
Day Sunday. Please provide us a time for your pick-up.

Yes, we’re doing it again! As the Club did for Easter, is was a great success , we are
producing a delicious meal to take out and enjoy at home with your favorite girl. The
menu we feel is a great pairing of entrees, starches and salads (see menu below). You
can also order a nice bottle of wine to compliment your fantastic meal.
