ISRAEL:
May 8 Mon Arrive Tel Aviv Airport – Meet and transfer to the hotel.
May 9 Tue Caesarea, Quick stop by rolling stone tomb near
Megiddo, Sepphoris, Nazareth (Church Annunciation & Sisters of
Nazareth Convent)
May 10 Wed Arbel Cliffs (and synagogue), Migdal,
Capernaum, Chorazin, Galilee Boat ride, Nof Ginosar boat Caesarea Philippi
May 11 Thu Gish Halav, Dan, Philippi Caesarea, Gamala, Susita,
(Kursi – if time)
May 12 Fri Mt. Gerizim, Samaria Sebaste, Shechem, Jacob’s Well,
Joseph’s tomb, Shiloh(if time), Bethany Lazarus Tomb
May 13 Sat Bethlehem, Israel Museum, Mt. Olives, Gethsemane,
Kidron Valley tombs
May 14 Sun City of David (David’s Palace, Area G), Warren’s shaft,
Hezekiah’s Tunnel, King’s tombs (T1), Pool Siloam, the newly
opened Underground tunnel (Pilgrim’s Road) to SW Corner
excavations, SW Corner Excavations
May 15 Mon Temple Mount, Ketef Hinnom Valley tombs, St. Peter in
Gallicantu, Citadel (including the Kishle & perhaps the night show),
Holy Sepulchre (including arrangements to see the Pilgrim Ship
graffiti), Herod family tomb.
EGYPT:
May 16 Tue Drive Border - Cross EGYPT
Early morning cross into Egypt, St. Catherine’s Monastery, Mt. Caesarea Maritima
Sinai. Dinner and rest for a few hours before the climb.
May 17 Wed Mt Sinai - Cairo
Early morning climb the mountain. Sunrise on the top of Mt. Sinai.
Descend and have breakfast, then travel to Cairo. Dinner and
overnight in Cairo.
May 18 Thu Cairo
Visit Memphis, Sakkara, Hanging Church, St. Sergius & Bacchus
Church, Cave Church (Garbage city). Dinner and overnight in Cairo.
May 19 Fri Cairo – Fly Luxor
Giza Pyramids, Cairo Ancient Egyptian Museum. Dinner in Cairo
then late flight to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.
May 20 Sat Luxor
Karnak Temple, Luxor Temples. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.
May 21 Sun Luxor
Valley of the Kings – four tombs (including Tut-Ankh Amoun’s
tomb), Hatshepsut’s Temple, Ramesseum. Overnight in Luxor.
May 22 Mon Luxor – Fly Cairo
Tombs of the Nobles, Medinet Habu Temple, late flight to Cairo. Holy Sepulchre
Dinner and overnight in Cairo.
May 23 Tue Cairo Airport fly Istanbul TK 691 09:35 & fly to Chicago.
