Sharing Solutions Welcome Welcome to the 15th Irish Agresso User Group Conference at Fota Island Resort, County Cork. A warm welcome to you all, as we return to Fota Island having last been here in May 2010. I take this opportunity to acknowledge the assistance of Unit4 and to thank all council members for their commitment to the IAUG. Sharing Solutions Key Note Speaker- John Kelly (Deloitte) John Kelly is a Director at Deloitte Cork, in audit and assurance. John works across a wide variety of industries, and with clients in both Ireland and internationally. John started studying to become an accountant at age 34. John is renowned for his rugby career, playing professionally for both Munster and Ireland. John played both wing and center, and was a part of the team that won the Heineken Cup with Munster in 2006. John retired from professional rugby in 2007. John is still involved with rugby, in a voluntary capacity, as he is currently the chairman of Munster Rugby’s Professional Game Board, which has oversight of the operations of the provinces professional squad. John also holds a Higher Diploma in Applied Science and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from UCC. After Dinner Entertainment – Code of Behaviour Code Of Behaviour are an Irish brass band based in Cork City since 2017. Their style varies between jazz, pop and funk, and appeals to all musical tastes. The set consists of traditional jazz standards, modern covers and originals. They are influenced by bands such as Youngblood Brass Band, The Hot 8 Brass Band and BookaBrass Band. The band consists of trumpets, trombones, mellophones, sousaphone and drums, with occasional singing (and dancing) thrown in the mix.

In addition to the Unit4 presentations, the Unit4 Partners and Unit4 Business World Consultants will be making short presentations, and will also deliver formal information sessions during the conference (see agenda). Hennessy IT Consulting Colm Hennessy, the company founder moved to Scotland in 2007, having spent many years working in Mentec Limited as a consulting manager on the Agresso product. The company has grown over the years & now has 10 consultants (many of whom have 20 years’ experience) & has a turnover of nearly €2 million. The company provides services across the full spectrum of the Business World application. In the last year the company took on two major successful projects in the public sector. Hennessy IT Consulting Ltd, having a small number of Irish customers, a good relationship with Unit 4 Ireland and nearly half its consultants being Irish based has decided to launch fully into working within the Irish market Place. Special Interest Groups (SIGs) The Special Interest Group meetings are a networking opportunity for the various IAUG groupings. SIG meetings will be held for Higher Education, Local Authorities and Health & Commercial.
