ABOUT ESOF - EUROSCIENCE OPEN FORUM ESOF is a biennial pan-European meeting created by EuroScience and dedicated to scientific research and innovation. 2004 STOCKHOLM During the forum, leading scientists, young researchers, business people, policy makers, 2012 science communicators and the general DUBLIN 2016 public discuss new discoveries and debate MANCHESTER 2014 the direction that research is taking in the COPENHAGEN sciences, humanities and social sciences. 2006 MUNICH 2018 2010 TOULOUSE TORINO 2008 BARCELONA
IN 2020 ITALY WILL HOST ESOF AND TRIESTE WILL BE EUROPEAN CITY OF SCIENCE Internationally renowned for having one of the largest concentrations of International and National research institutes for research, technology transfer and the dissemination of science Trieste hosts more than 30 national and international bodies and companies working in research and higher education, with 5.000 permanent foreign scientists and 13.000 students and researchers With a central european location Trieste will make of ESOF2020 a unique occasion to strengthen links with Central and Eastern European scientists, businesses, politicians and citizens.
