IN THE HEART OF THE ADRIATIC 2019 Discover the historical and architectural treasures of the Dalmatian Coast with this exceptional itinerary. From Italy to Croatia, you will sail the Adriatic for 8 days aboard Le Lyrial. From Venice, you will reach Montenegro by sailing through the famous Bay of Kotor. This impressive gash between two mountain ranges is home to a veritable inland lake with a magical atmosphere; the medieval city of Kotor and its many historical monuments are its jewels. Le Lyrial will then reach Dubrovnik. Your discovery of Croatia will continue with the islands of Mljet and Korcula. They each have a very distinct history. According to the legend, Mljet is where Ulysses stayed for seven years after being spellbound by the nymph Calypso. The medieval city of Korcula is said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. Your exploration of the Adriatic Coast will conclude with visit of Piran, before you head back to Venice. ITINERARY Day 1 VENICE Proud and eternal, Venice has reigned on its lagoon ever since the 6th century. You may think you know this city before even setting foot here. You will inevitably fall in love with the charm of the innumerable treasures of the Serenissima: Saint Mark’s square, the basilica, Doges palace, the Grand Canal and the gondolas.
