3 Preparing for the Sacred Paschal Triduum Dear Parishioners, As we begin the Holy Week with Palm Sunday and through all the celebrations this week, I wish you many blessings from Jesus and His cross. In these holy days look at the cross and meditate what Jesus did for us. The liturgies do not “take us back” to the upper room or the path to Calvary. Their ultimate purpose is not to retrace or relive the last hours of Jesus’ life - nor to catch sight of him emerging from the tomb at Easter’s dawning. They celebrate not what once happened to Jesus but what is now happening among us as a people called to conversion, gathered in faith, and gifted with the Spirit of holiness. They celebrate God’s taking possession of our hearts at their deepest core, recreating us as a new human community broken like bread for the world’s life - a community rich in compassion, steadfast in hope, and fearless in the search for justice and peace. © Notre Dame Center for Liturgy, Notre Dame, IN The Triduum is three special days that occur during Holy Week: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil/Easter Sunday. Mass Times are: † Holy Thursday of the Lord’s Supper at 7pm † Good Friday - Stations of the Cross 12pm † Friday of the Passion of the Lord (Good Friday) 3pm & 7pm † Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil 8pm † Easter Sunday 8am & 11am With all my love and Prayers. Sincerely in Christ, Fr. Andrzej Jurkiewicz View this bulletin online at www.DiscoverMass.com

It is Add’l Capital Improvements $ 260.00 with deep gratitude that I thank you for your great Easter Flowers $ 801.00 generosity and share with you the following numbers. OUR PARISH GOAL IS: $134,783.99 WEEK 6 PLEDGES RECEIVED $144,584.02 OVER $ 9,800.03 If you have not yet made your pledge and are in a position where you are able to share of your gifts, it is not too late! Please consider offering a gift at a comfortable level for you. Remember no gift is too small. Now that we have reached the goal the excess is shared in three ways: 1/3 to be retained by St. Ann’s to meet current needs as determined by the Pastor, 1/3 to be retained by the parish and placed into the parish endowment fund to use to sustain ministries and operations over the long term, and 1/3 to Priests’ Retirement Fund maintained by the Catholic Foundation of Central Florida. Again, I Thank you for your prayerful consideration and generous response. Jesus, humbling himself out of love for us, did not shield his face from buffets and spitting, but offered his life on the cross. He relied on his Father’s love. © 2021 DIOCESAN
