ABOUT US
For over 25 years, the Heritage Gates brand has been known for the highest quality gates
and fencing, with exceptional attention to detail. With a wide range of traditional styles
through to contemporary designs, the Heritage range will include a solution for any type
of property.
Heritage Gates started out in Wanganui in the 1990’s as a family business manufacturing
heritage
wooden gates and fences using traditional manufacturing techniques and acquiring a
reputation for high-quality craftsmanship. In 2009 aluminium gates were added to the

gates & fences range and over the years, new ways of working with aluminium have been developed. In
particular, the Heritage team perfected the art of replicating traditional timber gates in
full aluminium construction. These gates look just like the old timber styles but with the OREGON KNOXVILLE
long-term durability and low-maintenance advantages of aluminium.
Heritage Gates & Fences was acquired by Boundaryline Fencing Systems In 2017, and the
Heritage range was merged fully with Boundaryline in early 2020.

The Heritage range replicates traditional timber
designs in powdercoated aluminium. We’ve
developed our manufacturing processes and designs
over the years to offer a traditional-looking gate
without the high maintenance requirements of timber
gates.
Aluminium gates are much lighter than timber, making
them easier to operate and better for automated
gates. Most importantly aluminium will not warp or
split in the weather, the way timber gates can. It is
especially suitable for dark-coloured gates.
We have a wide range of traditional and modern
designs and a huge range of colour choices, to suit
any projects.
Most designs are suitable and adaptable for swing
gates, sliding gates, and matching fence panels.

POWDER-COATING PROCESS
SWING GATE SLIDING GATE
The powder-coating process starts with the metal components being cleaned, which
helps the coating to adhere to the metal. The process is carried out in multi-stages;
¥ A de-greaser and etch is used to clean the metal, followed by a thorough
rinse down.
¥ Next a chromate bonder is applied to help the powder adhere to the aluminium.
¥ A drying oven is often used to ensure no moisture is present when the items
are powder-coated.
¥ The components are then passed through a spray booth where the powder is
applied by electro-static spray guns.

GUARANTEE OF QUALITY
We provide a five-year warranty on powder-coated aluminium gates and fences. We provide a two-year warranty on timber kitset fencing;
provided protective coatings with a minimum light reflectance value of 60% are applied prior to the product being exposed to the weather.
Any warranty expressly excludes defects that have arisen as a result of vandalism, fair wear and tear, and climatic conditions. Particularly,
timber fencing which is made from a natural product and some movement of the timber and formation of surface splits will occur with
exposure to the weather; these features are not covered by any warranty.
We provide a two-year warranty on automation and access equipment.
This guarantee is dependent on the product being maintained in accordance with our maintenance guidelines and does not cover
damage done to the gate by inadequate or inappropriate hardware or installation.
Conditions apply to the above summary; full details of our warranties are available on request.
