The MenzShed is a space where people can work on their own repair and building projects. And also contribute to community projects and share skills with others. The MenzShed Hataitai has been undergoing a face lift over the last year and are looking for volunteers to share and support each other in the role of coordinator to open the shed (ideally, three mornings a week) and ensure the smooth running of projects and safety of the ‘sheddies'. The days and hours of opening are flexible and negotiable. It would be preferred if you had a background in a trade like a builder, cabinetmaker, woodworker etc and have a sound knowledge of working with wood and safe practices with equipment.
