The drumming performance that was scheduled for Monday afternoon will be rescheduled for later in the year. Scripture and Ethics lessons have also been cancelled. At this stage we are encouraging the children to wash their hands regularly and cough into their elbows. We will also limit the interactions between classes and encourage social distancing. Any child that appears un- well or is demonstrating symptoms should be kept at home or will be sent home. Regular updates will be put on the Skoolbag App as we receive them. Sport News Sports events will be temporarily ceased until further notice. This includes school Cross Coun- try and Athletics Carnival, State Knockouts, District Trials, Regional and State Carnivals. As soon as any information is received regarding these events we will inform you. Green Team Our school green team has been working hard to maintain our school gardens. The students have been watering, picking up rubbish and gardening. One thing that the students have noticed when doing compositing is the amount of fruit and vegetable waste that is going into the compost bins. Lots of whole pieces of fruit or those that only have a bite out of them are being thrown away. If we could just be mindful when sending fruit , that we only send a small amount as it is a quick snack. Tracy Devlin Student certificates 4 Orange Mohamad E
The news about novel coronavirus continues to develop. It’s important to take sensible steps to look after yourself and your family. Keep an eye out for updates from reliable sources such as the NSW Gov- ernment website If you develop a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath within 14 days of overseas travel or are in contact with someone else who has Corona- virus, seek medical attention: call your GP, Healthdirect on 1800 022 222, or in an emergency, your local hospital emergency department Protect yourself and others: clean your hands regularly, cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue. Face masks aren’t recommended for people without symptoms. Importantly – stay at home if you’re feeling unwell. At Service NSW our customers are our priority. We are putting in extra measures to ensure your safety. We have improved cleaning and are providing hand sanitiser and single-use pens at all our centres. We encourage customers who have any of the symptoms listed above to consider doing your Service NSW transactions online.
