Thank you to all that helped make our VIP Day a success! As always, we are looking for feedback and input for next year. Please come to our VIP Day debrie ng meeting on Monday, May 21st at 7:00 P.M. in the Coy library to share your thoughts. We are looking forward to your involvement in planning for next year! BOX TOPS CONTEST Our school collected another $404.10 in Box Tops during our latest contest! Mrs. Gyurke's class turned in the most with a whopping 791! Our Box Tops collection contests are done for the year, but please continue to collect over the summer! SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR COY READS VOLUNTEERS! A special thanks goes out to our Coy Reads volunteers: Sue Northrop, Tami Gi ord-Neate, Judy Monaghan, Sandy LaCourse, Mary McCullum, Mary Miller, Laura Vartorella, Kathy Bartley, Erin Leiser, Karla Neeley, Bethany Williams, Traci Lewis, Brian Richmond, Amanda Sparks, Rose Belville, Kim Snyder, Reese Snyder and Coy Reads coordinator, Brenda Northrup. We were blessed to have you work and meet weekly with 31 Coy students throughout the school year. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are all much appreciated and we hope to see you back next year! BOOK SWAP - MAY 21ST! It's time to clean o the book shelves at home and get ready for some good old summer time reading! Each Coy student can bring in 1-5 gently used books May 14th - May 17th to swap for other books. On Monday, May 21st students who brought in books will get to pick out the same number of books at the book swap. End of Year Reminders -Our Award Ceremonies for grades 1-4 are May 24th as follows: 4th grade 9:15-10:00, 2nd grade 10:15-10:45, 1st grade 11:00-11:30 and 3rd grade 11:45-12:30. Parents are welcome to attend award ceremonies. -Kindergarten Graduation is May 24th at 1:45. All are welcome to attend the kindergarten graduation ceremony. -Grades K-3 will once again have picnics at the teacher’s discretion, the last day of school. Students can bring a sack lunch or purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria on the last day
unless your child’s teacher noti es you of other arrangements. Grade 4 will have a pizza lunch and cake provided by the PGA. -We will have an early dismissal for all students at 1:30 the last day of school, May 25th. MEETING MINUTES MAY 14, 2018 7:00 PM COY LIBRARY Board Members Present Sara Hanthorn, Jessica Donley, Melissa Ramsey, Traci Lewis Item Welcome /Coupons Playground-quote for drainage, the district will pay for the drainage! Treasurers’ report DDA $ 3515.06 SAV $ $846 - spent on 4th Grade Farewell Dance so far - under budget so far $155 Bu alo Wild Wings (does not include the last fundraiser) $1121.26 Krogers $505.17 VIP - Shirts will arrive on May 16th and will go home on the 17th. -The schedule is broken up by grade level. This should be helpful for parents with children in multiple grade levels. -There are eld events and “carnival” events. - There will be a DJ, Bounce house, and dunk tank. - -Volunteers are still needed! - -Parents should arrive 15 minutes before their child’s grade level’s start time. - -Shuttles will be running from 8:45-3:30 between the school and the Walmart parking lot. - -Walmart and Toledo Re nery have donated to this event. - -If there is rain, the event will be cancelled that day. There is no rain date for this event due to the items that are rented. (Students will have a short class celebration just for them.) - -Keith Mullens is picking up the duck tank on Thursday. Principal’s Report - Career Day - Thursday, May 17th, people will be coming in to speak with the children. -Book Swap on Monday! Bring 5 books in and get 5 new to them books. -Reward ceremonies will be next Thursday, May 24th!
-4th Grade pizza party on Friday, May 25th! -The kids are loving Humphrey! Hopefully, parents have heard about all the fun! - As a district, all of the elementary schools are doing a summer reading club. There will be activities that will come home with your child for the summer. The books were partially funded by the Oregon Schools Foundation. The Oregon Library will be partnering with the schools and will have activities that tie into as well. - -Assembly contracts for next year - Jim Basketball Jones, STEAM Museum, and author ($900). - The sta was very thankful for everything PGA did for them during Teacher Appreciation Week! New Business • VIP Shirt Sorting Wednesday - Shirts will come home on Thursday. -Funds2Orgs - possibility for a fundraiser •Oregonian Club- $1000 for the Sensory Room Oregon Kindergarten Safety Town Sign-Up

ELEMENTARY VOLLEYBALL OPPORTUNITY This program is designed for 1st - 6th grade girls of Oregon Elementary Schools. It is designed to develop beginner/intermediate/advanced volleyball skills and prepare them for the next level of volleyball. Our goal is to place every girl on a team that is best suited for their skill level. The cost is $50.00 and will include a t-shirt jersey. Practices will be twice a week for approximately 1 hour each. Games will start on Saturday, September 8, and are held at Clay High School or Toledo Volleyball Club, against other local schools. Teams will be organized by grade and skill and will be coached by Quali ed Parents and periodically assisted by Clay Varsity/JV players and Clay coaching sta .
