Friday, October 26th, the ladies of Pendleton Street Baptist Church and their guests enjoyed a “Ladies’ Fall Dinner” at the Hilton Greenville. The event was attended by 66 women from many different “seasons of life." Hosts Loretta Stephens and Suzanne Price planned and decorated such a beautiful and joyous fellowship for the women. Katie Mitchell sang a lovely special and led the group in singing at the end of the evening. Ruth McWhite brought an honest and uplifting word of the Lord, encouraging the women to continue in their relationship with the Lord during all the seasons of life. Each season is a time of learning and growth, even when it just feels like a season of hardship - God is there in every minute. The PSBC women will be hosting more events in the coming seasons - if you’d like more information, please contact us Ruth McWhite brought a message of hope and encouragement for all seasons of life! at 864-232-7312 or info@psbcgreenville.org. I thank God for you, Pendleton Street Baptist Church. Serving as your Pastor is a joy and a privilege. It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart. We are all recipients of God’s grace, and working together for the Gospel is a joy. Suzanne and I are grateful for the many expressions of love and gifts. Thanks to your generosity I see many date nights in our near future! And I want to take this opportunity to thank God for Suzanne. Being my wife is not easy, and when you add to that the increased responsibilities of being a Pastor’s wife, I am amazed at how wonderful she is. I am blessed, indeed. I am grateful to serve on staff with Cody Penland, Kendra Irish, and Genia Hester. God has brought together a great team of people who display their commitment to serving Him, and serving you, week in and week out. Working with committed people who are uncomplaining and joyful in their approach to work is a blessing beyond words. I appreciate you all so much! It is also good that we partner with other churches committed to truth and the Gospel through the Greenville Baptist Association. On Sunday, November 11, we will have the opportunity to worship with one of these sister churches. Christ the Redeemer church is a new church in Greenville, led by Pastor Matthew Wireman. They are meeting in the building formerly owned by the Brandon United Methodist Church at 118 Mason St., Greenville. This is across the street from the old Brandon Mill, just two blocks off of Pendleton Street. Worship begins at 10:30 am, and I look forward to seeing all of you there! As you read through this newsletter, make note of the ways you can participate in the life of the congregation as we strive to Glorify God by Making Mature Disciples of All Nations! Richly Blessed, Sunday, November 11, 2018 PSBC will worship with Christ the Redeemer Church. • When: Sunday, November 11, 2018 In the 1800s, a missionary named Lottie Moon • Time: 10:30 a.m. wrote letters from China urging American • Childcare: provided for infants to age 3 churches to fund more overseas workers. Together, we are changing that. 100% of churches’ gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering support IMB missionaries who are making disciples and multiplying churches among unreached peoples and places around the world. Take time to pray and seek God’s will. Remind yourself of the glorious truth of the gospel. Search scripture and ask God to reveal His heart for every nation.
