For those not up with the motorsport lingo, a Geezer is a retired legend of motorsport who has won a major New Zealand title or a world title of motorsport or has made a major contribution to the sport. Last year’s gala welcomed 25 geezers who shared their tales of triumphs with the 250 guests. The event raised more than $24,000 for the two charities involved, Upper Clutha Children’s Medical Trust and Warbirds Over Wanaka Community Trust. This year the event will have auctions of memorabilia and prizes. A table of eight people is $2,800 including GST.
