Our time has come, the hour glass has run low.
Today we go from king of the jungle to, well, who knows?
We learn and struggle, grow and progress,
That’s what an incoming freshman does to try their best.
We made lots of friends, and have great bonds with our teachers.
Field trips, spirit days and watching games from the bleachers,
When you look back on these years, the time flew by whatsoever,
I’ll miss you 8th grade, I’ll miss you forever.
We learned in our pajamas, and fell asleep on zoom,
We powered through, and made worth of something new.
And even though we learned remote,
I’ll miss you 8th grade, I’ll miss you the most.
Playing sports after school, and joining clubs too,
That is where our friendships and confidence grew,
Art projects, and science experiments where you have to think clever
I’ll miss you 8th grade, I’ll miss you forever.
And even though we don’t know where the path will lead us,
We know where it started, and who helped teach us.
I hope everyone has fun this summer, and high school treats us well.
Together we graduate and give middle school a bittersweet farewell.
These caps and gowns represent something grander,
We’re all moving on from Jayhawks to Panthers!
Through drama and stress, kindness and endeavor,
