About Us
Forrester Park is set in the beautiful Essex countryside overlooking the River Blackwater, in the
village of Great Totham. It is within ten minutes of the A12 between Chelmsford and Colches-
ter. The well-established 6011-yar par 71 parkland course has plenty of hazards to challenge
players regardless of ability or handicap. With its tree-lined undulating fairways, the course is
about accuracy rather than distance, judgement rather than strength - it is a traditional ‘Club’
Course.
There is also a 10-acre grass practice ground/range over 300 yards in length open to members
and non-members alike. Facilities also include a practice putting green, chipping area and prac-
tice net. For those looking to improve their game our Club Professional is available for individ-
ual and group coaching for all standards.

Forrester Park runs on traditional club membership lines. There is a programme of
weekly section competitions held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays. We hold
supper matches, Wednesday evening competitions and inter-section competitions
open to all members, and there is an active social side to the club. We also participate
in Essex County competitions. The club captain heads a main committee and there
are Ladies, Veteran and Junior sections with their own captain and committee.
We are very proud of our burgeoning Junior section which has grown substantially
over the last few years. They have seen great turnouts for their Saturday competitions
week in and week out, as well as amazing success in recent county competitions.GOLF MEMBERSHIPS
Overview
Forrester Park offers an extensive range of golf memberships to suit every player. These include
traditional 7 day, 5 day, Off-Peak and Summer Memberships. Members who are aged 35 and
under are also eligible for our Colt memberships which can mean substantial discounts.
We also offer an extremely popular ‘Club’ Membership which includes your Essex Golf Union fees
and Greenfee Credits, meaning you only pay for the golf that you play. It offers great flexibility, as
well as all the benefits of a full membership, without the big financial commitment. We also offer a
Trial Membership on a 2 or 3 month basis, dependent on the season, which opens the opportunity to
fully experience the Club and Course to decide whether it’s for you, and receive exclusive discounts if
you decide to join. We also utilise our own online tee-booking system (BRS) which makes booking
for competitions and casual rounds a breeze!

What is it?
Our ‘Club’ membership is a unique golf membership that gives you the flexibility and
freedom to play 7 days a week and enjoy all the benefits of a full membership, whilst
utilising ‘greenfee credits’ so you never pay for rounds you haven’t played!
What do you get for your money?
• Club Membership for one year and 60 greenfee credits
• Credits exchangeable for up to 30 rounds of golf at no
extra cost (depending on when you play)
• Eligibility for all club competitions
• Golf Union membership (enables you to get a county handicap)
• Gold membership card which entitles you to 10%
discount off clubhouse purchases
• Advance information about special golf offers
What are Greenfee Credits?
Greenfee credits are the main element of the Club membership and are super simple to use and top up!
The credits are loaded to your gold member’s card and are paid by coming up to the bar and having
your card swiped; the relevant number of credits are deducted and you’ll get a receipt showing
how many you have left.
Points to know: They are usable any time you can book a tee time, including Saturday mornings.
They are valid for Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday Competitions. They can be rolled over into the next
membership year when renewing. They’re valid 18, 12 or 9-hole rounds and can be used to bring guests.
Credit Costs & Times
The number of credits for your round changes depending on when and how many holes you play.
Timings change dependent on the season however 18 hole rounds range from 4 credits to 2 credits
Monday-Friday and from 5 credits to 2 credits on the weekend, full details available upon request.
Credit bundles can also be purchased at any stage and range from 24 credits for £100,

How does it work?
For only £180 you get to enjoy 2 or 3 months (dependent on the time of year) of full 7 day
membership, with all the benefits. It’s as simple as that, and there is no obligation to join afterwards!

more about what it’s like here at Forrester Park.
What do you need to know?
You can enjoy a host of benefits as one of our special trial members, including:
