GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2021 REG SITE FAQ Q. WHERE IS CONFERENCE 2021 BEING HELD? Conference 2021 will be hosted in Montréal, Québec at the Montréal Convention Centre (Palais des congrès de Montréal) at 1001 Jean Paul Riopelle Pl, Montréal, QC, H2Z 1H5. Q. WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE IN MONTRÉAL? Montréal is located in Québec where French is the primary language. However, English is commonly used. You can get around town and enjoy a trip to the city without knowing or speaking any French; however, learning just a little bit will make your trip much more interesting! REGISTRATION Q. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR CONFERENCE 2021? Register at www.epicureconference.com. Click on your applicable registration category button. Registration closes on February 28, 2021. Q. WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION RATES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE? ■ Early Bird | $249 CA/$199.20 US—special rate available for all Consultants who register early (a savings of $50 CA/$40 US). ■ New Consultants | $199 CA/$159.20 US—rate available for those who joined Epicure on February 1, 2020 or later. ■ Fast Start Achievers (see details below). ■ Guest Gala/After Party | $99 CA/$79.20 US—for Gala only. ■ General Registration (including Guest full conference rate) | $299 CA/$239.20 US. FAST START ACHIEVERS Q. DO I NEED TO REGISTER FOR CONFERENCE EVEN IF I PLAN TO EARN REGISTRATION FOR FREE THROUGH THE FAST START PROGRAM? Because we have limited seats available at Conference, we encourage all Consultants to register early to reserve their seats. Should you register and then earn a free registration, Contact customerexperience and Epicure refund you the rate you paid. Q. I HAVE EARNED MY FAST START FREE CONFERENCE. HOW DO I REGISTER? If you have not yet registered and have earned Fast Start, follow these steps to register: ■ Email customerexperience@epicure.com with “Fast Start Conference Achiever” in the subject line. ■ We’ll be happy to process your registration and will forward a confirmation email. ■ Please note: the free registration policy will apply (see below: “How do I cancel my registration?”). Q. I EARNED MY FAST START REGISTRATION FOR THE 2020 CONFERENCE. CAN IT BE APPLIED TOWARD THE 2021 CONFERENCE? ■ For the 2019-20 Achievers who registered for the 2020 Conference and did not cancel, your Conference registration will be transferred to Conference 2021. You must email customerexperience@epicure.com with your intention to transfer by February 28, 2021. ■ For the 2019-20 Achievers who did not register for the 2020 Conference, or did register and then cancelled, your free Conference registration voucher is is valid for 12 months from the date earned. (i.e. If you earned a free conference in June 2019, you have until June 30, 2020 to register for a conference.).
Q. CAN I BRING A GUEST? You may bring a guest to attend the entire Conference or select to bring a guest to only the Awards Gala and After Party, which take place on Thursday, April 15, 2021. If you would like to bring a guest, please select the check box during your registration process. The cost for either of these categories are listed on the registration site. Please be aware, Conference is an adult-only event (18+). If you have already registered and want to add a guest for the event, please click on ‘modify your registration’ and follow the prompts. Q. WHAT IS THE LAST DAY I CAN REGISTER FOR CONFERENCE? Registration closes on February 28, 2021. Q. HOW DO I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION? To cancel your Conference registration, please send an email to customerexperience@epicure.com. At the present time, with many health/safety measures in place and future unknowns, registration fees are 100% refundable! Once restrictions are lifted, the following cancellation policy will apply: ■ Registration cancellations up to and including February 28, 2021 will receive a refund, minus a $75 CA/$60 US administration fee. ■ No refunds will be given after February 28, 2021. ■ Conference fees are non-transferrable (i.e. fees cannot be transferred to another Consultant or to a different event). ■ All FREE Conference registration earners who have registered but do not attend at the time of the event and have not informed Home Office prior to the general registration cut-off date, will be charged a $75 CA/$60 US administration fee. Q. WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDE? ■ Exciting presentations from our President & Founder, and CEO ■ Sneak peeks of what Epicure has in store, including new product previews ■ Educational breakout and skill-building sessions to help you successfully build a stronger business ■ Opportunities to network with other Epicure Consultants from across Canada, the US, as well as Home Team members ■ The elegant Awards Gala and After Party ■ Swag and giveaways ■ Access to the company store ■ And so much more! Q. WILL FRENCH INTERPRETATION SERVICES BE PROVIDED AT CONFERENCE 2021? Yes, French interpretation services will be provided for all general sessions. Go to the designated area to pick up your headset; you will be required to provide a credit card which will be securely held until you return your headset at the end of the day. Q. CAN I ACCESS A DISCOUNTED HOTEL RATE IN MONTRÉAL? At this time Epicure has not secured a room block. However, we will secure a limited number of discounted rooms and will release the information as soon as it is available. Be assured, the hotel will be walking distance to the convention center. Please check for details on the Accommodation tab of the registration site. Montréal has many accommodation options including hotels, Airbnb, bed and breakfasts, private home/ condo rentals, etc. We encourage you to research availability and connect with other Consultants to share accommodations. HOW DO I GET TO THE HOTEL FROM THE MONTRÉAL AIRPORT? Travel time is approximately 30–40 minutes. Bus/shuttle transportation from the airport to/from nearby hotels can be accessed here: https://www.admtl.com/en/access/transports Taxis are available from the airport baggage claim area. Average fare to Downtown Montréal is approx. $40–$50 CA. UBER rides are available in Montréal and easy to access. Download the app and follow the simple instructions. Average fare between the airport and the downtown core is approx. $30 CA. Q. IS PARKING AVAILABLE DOWNTOWN MONTRÉAL? The Palais des congrès offers free self-parking. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW IF I REQUIRE ACCOMMODATION FOR A DISABILITY? Should one be required, Consultants are responsible for providing their own assistant. We will be happy to provide free Conference admission to assistants (not applicable for other consultants). Make sure to provide us with specific details when registering online to help inform us in our planning. Q. ARE THERE PLACES TO EAT NEAR THE HOTEL? There are many restaurant options near the convention center, from casual to fine dining. Montréal is well-known for its creative cuisine. Q. WILL WE HAVE TIME TO EXPLORE MONTRÉAL? Conference 2021 is filled with fun events and networking opportunities. Out of respect for the family obligations and busy schedules of our Consultants, Epicure tries to pack as much fun and learning into as short a period as possible. To get the most out of your time, consult the schedule under the Schedule tab on epicureconference.com and watch for updates! Please note: schedules are subject to change without notice. Q. ARE THERE CHILD CARE SERVICES AVAILABLE? As an adult-only event, Conference 2021 does not provide a comfortable atmosphere for infants or small children. Child care is not available through our event and you will need to personally arrange and cover the costs of child care for your children. For the convenience of nursing mothers, Epicure will have a “Parents’ room” available during the Conference hours.
Q. WHEN AND WHERE DO I CHECK IN? Before the start of Conference, we ask that you check in with Epicure guest services on the second level—Pre- function West (ouest) area: ■ Leaders and Above: Tuesday April 13, 7:30–8:45 AM ■ Consultants: Tuesday April 13, 3:00–7:00 PM ■ Wednesday April 14, 6:30–8:30 AM Q. HOW SHOULD I DRESS? NOTE: All Epicure events are fragrance-free events. Participants are asked to avoid perfumes and other fragrances that could affect persons with environmental illnesses or chemical sensitivities. FOR ALL BUSINESS/GENERAL SESSIONS: Please dress nicely. You may be on camera! We recommend business casual or upscale/trendy attire. Please note that it is often cold in the convention centre. You may wish to bring a light sweater or shawl to stay warm. Jeans, shorts, athletic wear, and tank tops are NOT permitted. For men, a collared shirt with a sweater or blazer is great. FOR OUR AWARDS GALA: DRESS TO IMPRESS! Attending the Awards Gala is like having a celebratory event with your best girlfriends, so be sure to look stylish. BRIGHT COLOURS look best on camera; avoid busy patterns. Men should wear a blazer and tie, a suit or even a tuxedo.
Q. HOW DO I EARN AN INVITATION TO NEW LEADERS SESSION OR LEADERS-ONLY SESSIONS? For an invitation to New Leaders Session, or Leaders and Above sessions, refer to the New Leader Jump Start and the Global Recognition Program 2020-2021 (under Epicure University/Recognition). Q. WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF I HAVE EARNED AN INVITATION TO ONE OF THE INVITATION-ONLY EVENTS? You will receive an official invitation to New Leader Session when you promote yourself for the first time as a new Leader. These will be sent early in 2021. Q. WHAT RECOGNITION WILL BE PRESENTED AT CONFERENCE? Please refer to the Annual Recognition Program on My Epicure under Epicure University/Recognition. We look forward to celebrating your success!
