Scouting provides young people leadership, learning, service, and adventure – skills that will be both relevant and impactful throughout their lives. The true cost of Scouting goes beyond the visible expenses you see such as books, uniforms, Scouts’ Life, equipment, registration, and meeting fees. The majority of Scouting’s expenses are unseen. Friends of Scouting supports the sustainable operations of delivering this timeless program! MEASUREMENTS OF INVESTMENT This information to the right represents budgeted revenue, expenses, and Friends of Scouting - 16% percentages of the 2022 budget. The Special Events - 9% percentages are calculations of the support Foundations - 8% a Scout level multiplied by the percentage United Way - 2% of budgeted revenue and expenses. 2022 CAMPAIGN: BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR MICHIGAN SCOUTING’S FUTURE The best response to our changing financial picture is to share the opportunity with our community of donors to build a solid financial foundation for the future of Scouting. Our 2022 Campaign launches a 5-year plan to solidify and grow sustainable support for Scouting’s future. This strategy will protect the delivery and growth of Scouting programs today, when our children here in Michigan need us the most, while growing future endowed earnings to protect Scouting well into the future. SPORTING CLAYS CLASSIC The Sporting Clays Classic is an annual event held at the Bald Mountain Shooting Range in Lake Orion, MI. Whether you are a life-long firearms enthusiast or a newcomer to shooting sports, this outing will provide you and your guests a safe and thrilling day in a beautiful and relaxing setting. EAGLE RECOGNITION DINNER The Eagle Recognition Dinner is capstone annual youth recognition event that honors the accomplishments of COGNITION one of our most important groups: our young men and E R women who have achieved Scouting’s highest ranks and DI EAGLE awards, the Eagle Scout Rank, Venturing Summit Award, NNER and Sea Scouting Quartermaster.
