GFSC Working Groups: Cash and Market, Agriculture, Programme Quality, Protection • Food Security Sector and Transfers WG jointly organized a Virtual Sharing Session REVA 4 - by WFP VAM Unit, where around 100 participants from 36 Organization were participate | 19 May 2021, Presentation Slides Here and Recording link Here • Virtual Training on Nutritional Value (Nut Val) for Food Security Sector (FSS) Partner held on 23 May 2021, facilitated by WFP nutrition unit, where 32 participants from 19 different organization were participated. FSS Updates • FSS Gender Focus Group Meeting was held with 12 nominated Gender focal from different organization | 26 May 2021 | Gender Action Plan | Gender Survey Focal point: barbara.eggermaldonado@wfp.org • Protection and Accountability to Affected Population – Survey to be disseminated to partners. Focal point: Rola AlKhateeb rola.alkaleeth@wfp.org • SDTWG is a cross sectoral working group to support on technical streams such as the skills development framework and modules implemented in CXB. FSL is involved in skills development activities as we look at the perspective from self-reliance and livelihoods linkages, Skills Development Technical Working Group (SDTWG) 1st monthly meeting was held on 24 May 2021 | Skills Development Technical Working Group – ToR. FSS Food Assistance Updates • June food assistance cycle started with 100% of refugees under e-voucher assistance – Value voucher increased to 12 USD. Please see WFP Food Messaging for June 2021. “To ensure you and your family can purchase enough food to meet your needs WFP has adjusted the value voucher to BDT 1013 per person per month starting in May 2021 to reflect changes to market prices of food. • Fresh Food Corners are operational in 15 locations. 13 outlets have live fish and chicken. FFC beneficiaries receive a top-up of BDT 250 (USD 3) to purchase fresh vegetables and vulnerable households • New SCOPECARD distribution – to start in KRC and NRC
Information management updates • Partners Response May 2021, 5W tracker – by 6 June 2021, RESPONSE TRACKER LINK or download from Excel template. • To ensure and availability to FSS information Food Security Sector (FSS) sharing monthly dashboards to partners routinely. • Deduplication exercise template to analyze who receives what – please fill in the new template with 2021 target beneficiaries’ NID and submit to FSS team. • FSS Template CfW and Rohingya Volunteers Incentive- RRRC Data Requirement Month of May 2021, By 10 June 2021).
FSS LHWG • The draft Gardening Guidance Note will be circulated with partners early next week. FSS will visit with Department of Agricultural Extension to review the draft Guidance notes • Partners interested in providing information (i.e. lessons learned, best practices) and/or pictures for the Gardening Guidance note are requested to do so by COB June 3. • EETWG – plans for reforestation have been submitted to SMSD. • Sarah (interim coordinator) is departing, Fenella (fenella.hendersonhowat@wfp.org), who has been supporting EETWG since the Fire Response in March, will step in at interim coordinator. If any questions, please reach out accordingly.
FSS LHWG • Today is world Milk Day – we would like to appreciate those engaging within livestock sector and the contributions to both entrepreneurism and nutritional benefits • Webinar organized by ACDI/VOCA today at 9-11 AM regarding their livestock activities for the last 5 years at 8 districts – including Cox's Bazar.
