you an entertaining, novel, charity event,
The Fox
Fishing & Golf Festival
Hosted by one of New Zealand’s most popular sporting personalities, The Fox is your chance
to experience beautiful Waihi Beach like never before!
The Fox is a unique team format combining fishing prowess and golfing skill
. . . and plenty of great banter!
You and your guests will be treated to an entertaining, all-inclusive event with Ryan Fox and his sporting
mates. As well as enjoying great company and superb hospitality you’ll also be assisting your host in his
quest to raise funds for the local community.
THE FORMAT
The event is open to twenty-four teams with four people per team.
The inaugural event will determine who the top individual team is across both the fishing and golf competitions.
The points your team accumulates over the event will determine who is crowned The Fox Champion for 2020!
The event begins on Thursday, March 5 with an evening at the Waihi Beach Lifeguard Services.
At the function the teams draw will be made.
Foxy will talk tactics and introduce you to his celebrity captains.
Meet the celebs, receive your team apparel and kick off the event with complimentary refreshments and finger food.
Friday, March 6
The Fox Fishing Fued
Your team of four will compete in the fishing competition hosted by the Bowentown Boating & Sport Fishing Club.
Enjoy an early breakfast at the club before heading out to catch the local bounty (packed lunch provided).
Bring your own boat (we’ll provide assistance with fuel) or enjoy the knowledge and banter of a local skipper.
The day concludes with a true kiwi ‘Fish n Chip’ Night at the club, competition prizegiving and entertainment.
Your team points from the fishing will be carried over to the golf tournament.
Saturday, March 7
The Fox Golf Showdown
The event heads to the picturesque Waihi Golf Club with a team breakfast to begin the day.
The Ambrose event will include driving, chipping and putting competitions to help add to your team score.
Lunch and on-course refreshments will be provided.
At the conclusion of your round enjoy dinner, entertainment and prizegiving.

(please note: if you bring your own boat we will contribute $200 of fuel vouchers)

Proceeds from the event go to supporting the Waihi Beach Lifeguard Services and the Waihi Beach Coastguard.
The Fox also benefits the Bowentown Boating & Sport Fishing Club and the Waihi Golf Club.
