Welcome to the MU Faculty of Pharmacy! The Faculty of Pharmacy of Masaryk University is one of the two faculties implementing pharmaceutical education in the Czech Republic. The basic mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy is to provide university education, conduct research in the field of pharmacy and related fields and other activities fulfilling the mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy as an academic institution. The faculty cooperates with domestic and foreign research institutes, medical facilities and pharmaceutical industries. In the field of education, the Faculty of Pharmacy offers studies in accredited master's degrees and doctoral study programs in Czech and English. The Master's study program in Pharmacy is designed to meet the current level of pharmaceutical, medical and natural sciences, the needs of practice and to be a quality basis for further education (doctoral study program, specialization and lifelong learning). It is carried out in full-time form and the standard study period is five years. The aim of education in the master's degree program in Pharmacy is to prepare graduates to practice the medical profession of pharmacist. The study ends with a state final examination, which includes the defense of a diploma thesis. The study program enables students to choose a higher degree of specialization and adaptation to individual interests by choosing compulsory and optional subjects. The content of education is governed by the requirements of Directive 2005/36 / EC on the recognition of professional qualifications, Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic No. 187/2009 Coll. on the minimum requirements for the study programs of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and for the educational program of general practical medicine and Government Regulation No. 275/2016 Coll. on the areas of higher education. SEKCE a CO PO ŠKOLE? – UDĚLAT TAKY OBDELNÍČKY S NÁZVY PRACOVNÍCH POZIC The profile of a graduate of the master's study program Pharmacy represents knowledge, experience and skills in the preparation and production of drugs and evaluation of their basic required properties, pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, legal, economic and ethical principles of the profession, drug policy, information and consulting activities, disposal of biologically active substances. evaluation of scientific data on medicines, cooperation with other health professionals and related fields. A graduate of the master's study program in Pharmacy is professionally qualified to perform the medical profession of pharmacist in accordance with Directive 2005/36 / EC on the recognition of professional qualifications and Act No. 95/2004 Coll. on the conditions for acquiring and recognizing professional competence and specialized competence in the medical profession of doctor, dentist and pharmacist, as amended. General definition of the employment of graduates of the master's study program Pharmacy: - pharmacist in pharmacy care facilities, - clinical pharmacist in hospitals, or other medical facilities, - bioanalysts in medical laboratories, - specialist in laboratories for research, development and control of medicinal products, - specialist in pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution companies, - academic / researcher in academia and other institutions involved in science, research, development and innovation, - specialist in health management structures, - expert / researcher in the chemical, food and cosmetic industries, - an expert / consultant in the non-profit sector involved in the protection, promotion and development of the health of individuals and specific groups of the population.
