ACTION LEARNING: BRINGING THEORY INTO PRACTICE TO MAKE AN IMPACT Data is forecasted to grow 10-fold by 20251. Today’s standard MBA curriculum can’t teach you everything. Our MBA 3.0 curriculum is built on Action Learning in real world business environments that teach you how to learn so that you are prepared for the future of data. One-third of ASB’s 20-month curriculum is dedicated to Action Learning projects. Each ASB MBA student will participate in five different projects across Asia with one of our many corporate partners. Students will have the opportunity to make a firsthand contribution to Asia’s economic growth. I had the opportunity to complete projects with five different companies in five different countries, including a summer internship in Hong Kong. In the end, I was offered a position with a leading management consulting firm in the US, which I accepted. MBA CAREER OUTCOMES BUILT ON DEEP CORPORATE CONNECTIONS Having cultivated strong partnerships with over 70 companies across Asia and the world, the Career Development Office (CDO) is hands on in connecting students with a wide range of opportunities in traditional MBA areas of interest such as technology, management consulting, and financial services. The CDO also supports students with unconventional career interests. Given today’s business world is always evolving, ASB also provides career services to alumni at critical inflection points in their careers. MIT SLOAN IMMERSION Spend 4 weeks in Cambridge, Massachusetts, taking classes with thought leading faculty and immersing yourself in an intensive MIT Sloan MBA experience. Located next to Kendall Square, known as “the most innovative square mile on the planet,” students have the opportunity to network and engage with one of the world’s leading innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems. WORLD CLASS FACULTY Our courses are taught by a mix of world class MIT Sloan and ASB faculty. MIT Sloan professors travel to Kuala Lumpur and teach classes in intensive modules. They are joined by ASB resident faculty from the most prestigious schools in the world. Additionally, ASB brings in international industry experts and government leaders to provide real world perspective on today’s business challenges. A PURPOSE-BUILT CAMPUS Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the new ASB campus is designed to be the “heart” of the action learning based MBA 3.0 experience, facilitating innovation and collaboration between ASB’s various stakeholders. The new campus gathers inspiration from Asian and global influences to create a unique identity for ASB. Construction is currently underway, and the campus is scheduled to be completed during the 2019-2020 academic year.
