Sunraysia Community Health Services Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) is a publicly funded health service, in Mildura, Victoria, 550 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. SCHS takes a holistic approach to the needs of clients and the community with an emphasis on continuous quality improvement and excellence in service delivery based on the principles of collaborative primary care. SCHS has been operating in the Sunraysia area since 1976. A not for profit organisation, employing over 200 staff, SCHS offers Mildura and surrounding communities in excess of 50 different services. These services are predominantly provided from our purpose-built facility on the corner of Thirteenth Street and Deakin Avenue Mildura. We also deliver services at other locations in Mildura including at the HECHT Adult Activity Centre (Johns Street), Daybreak (non-residential rehabilitation program) and The Family and Child Hub (Pine Avenue, Mildura) as well as in-home care. Accreditation Sunraysia Community Health Services endeavours to provide high quality, flexible and responsive service delivery and health promotion through a focus on service monitoring, review and evaluation. SCHS is accredited through DNV GL against ISO9001:2015, National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) (Standards 1-6) and the Department of Health and Human Services, Human Services Standards (HSS). We are pleased to have achieved a further 3-year accreditation for the services provided to our community.

The Executive Manager Business and Finance Primary Objectives The Executive Manager Business and Finance (EMBF) oversees the corporate service areas and includes two main components of the role; future business development and financial management. SCHS is a community health service which works within a social model of health and wellbeing through service delivery. The purpose of the EMBF is to develop business opportunities that align with a social model of health, and improve the social determinants of health of community members, whilst maintaining strong financial and corporate governance. This is a key role in supporting SCHS’s strategic objective to develop business strategies and ensure financial efficiency and effectiveness The role provides strategic direction and leadership to SCHS within the realms of business development, corporate, finance and risk matters. Expert advice will be provided on relevant financial and risk policy, fraud implications, issues, processes and systems. The role requires knowledge and application of accounting standards and practices, along with legislative and statutory requirements. The role has responsibility for the administration of SCHS investments and the secretariat support for the Finance & Audit Committee. Executives at SCHS are responsible for strategic thinking, governance, service delivery and a range of other initiatives. They are expected to liaise with internal and external departments and agencies. Executives are to ensure our organisation’s reputation is high, service opportunities are contestable, and service delivery is relevant, effective, and provides value for money for the community. At the forefront of our service is a focus to meet the needs of the people of the communities in which we operate. Investment in the community is imperative in improving the health and wellbeing of individuals lives.
Key Selection Criteria Mandatory 1. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a relevant field e.g. accounting, commerce, business Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant field 2. Experience • Evidence in shaping strategic business and financial thinking within complex organisations • Demonstrated capacity to engage in critical analysis and conceptual thinking to inform business planning, innovation and enterprise. • Ability to research and pursue new business leads for the growth of the business. • Evidence in leadership and organisational development processes to devise, implement and sustain business and financial strategies • A demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and financial knowledge • Evidence of the ability to identify, mitigate and manage financial and corporate risk • Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrating a capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups in achieving collaborative
Remuneration Flexible working arrangement can be negotiated with the successful candidate i.e. 9 day fortnight The total remuneration package is inclusive of base salary, superannuation and a car How to Apply Applications should include a: 1.
