The Grace Community "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another." - Hebrews 10:24-25 HOSPITALITY Hospitality exists to serve and care for our teachers and staff. We are blessed with talented, dedicated educators who pour their knowledge, wisdom, and love into our students every day. Through Hospitality we thank them for all they do, with teacher in-service meals throughout the school year, Blessings Day (Pie Day) in November, a faculty and staff Christmas party in December, and Teacher Appreciation Week in May. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT Community is a feeling of fellowship with others, the result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Grace Academy offers our children and their families a unique opportunity for community that feels like family. Parent Council supports community engagement in our school through events such as movie nights, Mom’s Life socials, and the annual Family Retreat. We also participate in local community events like the Christmas Stroll in downtown Georgetown. Every event is an opportunity to dive deeper into this family, and we want to welcome you to be a part! The Grace Community (continued) COMMUNITY SUPPORT We desire to be intentional about nurturing our community through lots of prayer and through endeavors that seek to develop and strengthen relationships that are ultimately eternal relationships. We do this through our Welcome Team for New Families, New Families Events, our Homeroom Parents, and Moms' Prayer. "Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always." - 1 Chronicles 16:11 Parent Council Handbook Page 5

Spirit wear always adds to that feeling of community. Your student will have a few opportunities to don spirit wear during the school year. In addition, it's great to see Grace apparel worn out and about - a great way to start conversations about the school! At the beginning of the school year, we will be selling select spirit wear items at the Meet the Teacher morning, Boohoo Yahoo Breakfast, and the day before the Back to School Bash. We prefer cash or check, or you may use Venmo (@PCGrace) or PayPal (please watch this video for appropriate PayPal use). Credit cards can also be used, but they do charge us some fees.
