Over the last 25 years (apart from small hydro power) great capacities of renewable energy (as listed below,) have been installed in the region. (by various companies). • > 200 wind turbines / > 530 MW total power • > 4,5 Mio. kWh solar power (electricity) • 12 biomass – local district heating systems / > 22 MW therm. total power • 4 biogas plants • 10 small hydro power plants 18
