Further detail of the need for this levy will be presented this evening and then shared with the school community. Class Structure and Staffing Below you will see the planned staffing structure for 2019 as it currently stands. All students who participated will receive a certificate and some prizes will be given out later in the week. Lorraine Davies – Staff and Parents Information Session Mindset: Students Motivation, Resilience and Learning Success We were delighted to welcome Lorraine Davies back to Emmaus last week. Lorraine began her journey with us in 2013. Lorraine has a deep passion for her work around neuroscience, which is evident in the way she shares her knowledge and experiences with the groups she works with. Lorraine spoke to us about how we can best support ourselves and our students to be motivated, resilient and learners! Lorraine spent the afternoon engaging with our Emmaus staff team. We explored and discussed autonomy, neuroscience, neuroplasticity and the need for us to consider some questions. Perhaps these questions may prompt some reflection for you: How do you model vulnerability? How do you model authenticity? How do model working outside your comfort zone? How do you model empathy? How do you model fun and laughter? Later in the evening Lorraine facilitated a session for our parents and it was wonderful to see so many of you in attendance! Lorraine suggested that we share the 2 slides that you will see below. Sincere thanks to Jason Fletcher, Adult Education leader from our Community Leadership Team, for organising Lorraine’s session. I would also like to thank our wonderful staff team who continue to go above and beyond what is required of them. To see such a large presence of staff at the Parent Session was testament to the commitment they continue to show, to both you and your children. If anyone is interested in some of Lorraine’s material please email at gcann@emtclear.catholic.edu.au and I will forward the documents on. Later Our I wou For
