Come and knit on the beach on a hopefully gorgeous August day and enjoy our mini marketplace with 10 amazing vendors in a seafront hotel. Voting will close at 3pm on Sunday and the winner, 1st and 2nd place runners up will receive their awards at their stalls shortly after! Linked Cowl Pattern 13 The Linked cowl is designed to be a simple knitting pattern with a memorisable pattern repeat that gives a texture that will work with any colour. This project is worked in the round using a 4mm circular needle and DK weight yarn. You will need: key 4mm 40cm circular needle sts- stitches 100g DK yarn k- knit Needle for sewing in ends p- purl yo- yarn over Gauge: 5sts & 6 rounds= 1 inch k2tog- knit 2 stitches together Sample shown is knit in Fruitful Fusion BFL DK in the colourway Sea Bed. You can find Fruitful Fusion in the vendor marketplace at this years event!
Linked Cowl Pattern 14 Cast on 128sts using a long tail cast on, join to work in the round, being careful not to twist. Round 1- *K2, P2 *repeat to end of round. Repeat round 1 for 8 more rounds. Round 10- Knit into the front and the back of the first stitch (increasing 1), knit to end (129sts). Rounds 11-15- Knit all stitches. Begin pattern repeat. Pattern Repeat Round 1- *YO, K3, pick up the YO and pass it back over the 3sts you’ve just knit, drop it off the needle. Repeat from * to end of round. Round 2- Knit all stitches. Round 3- *K3, pick up the 1st stitch of the 3 you’ve just knit and pass it over the 2 most recent stitches and drop it off the needle, YO. Repeat from * to end of round. Rounds 4-8- Knit all stitches. Work the pattern repeat 6 more times-7 repeats in total. Next round- K2tog, knit to end of round (128sts). Work K2, P2 rib for 9 rounds. Cast off using your favourite stretchy bind off. Weave in your ends and block.
