2020 DOGS JUDGES MS OXANA GACHINA (RUSSIA) I was born in a small city in the Urals, in Russia. Later, the family moved to Yaroslavl, where I live to this day. I graduated from Yaroslavl State University, Department of Biology. There I later worked in a research laboratory at the Department of Zoology. Work at present: Yaroslavl Kennel Club. I had an interest in animals, especially dogs, since childhood. But vocational training and work with dogs began in 1992, when I got my first Russian Black Terrier. In 1995, I was certified as a judge on the exterior of the dogs and working qualities. Since 2018 RKF-FCI International Judge All Breeds FCI. I judged a lot of Shows in many cities of Russia and Europe and Asia (Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Greece, China, India, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzigovina Poland, Georgia and others). In Russia and abroad I judged as the exhibition of all breeds of dogs, and special shows. Most often I judge specialized exhibitions by breeds: Schnauzers (all), Miniature Pinschers, Russian Black Terrier, Welsh Corgi Pembroke, Jack Russell Terrier, Airedale, Dachshund, Beagle, Labrador Retriever, Griffon, Chihuahua. I am the owner of the "Dar Yaroslavni" Kennel. Currently home I live with a Miniature Schnauzer Black and a Norwich Terrier. MS SAIJA JUUTILAINEN (FINLAND) The breeds I have owned and bred are Saluki, German Pincher and Labrador Retriever. I bred my first litter in 1979 with the prefix Wallaby’s The languages I speak are Finnish, English and Swedish. The year of my first qualification was in 1999. I have judged in the following countries, besides Finland, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine and USA. I’m qualified to judge all breeds. Already in my childhood I used to live with dogs, because my grandparents had a Rough Collie and later a Welsh Corgi Pembroke. In the late 60´s, we lived in Helsinki, where I met for the first time, a Sight Hound - the Borzoi male "Leo", was owned by our President Urho Kekkonen, which he had got as a present from the Soviet Union. Later, our next door neighbour, was the famous Finnish Borzoi Kennel "Korotai". My parents bought their first dog in the early 70´s - a Karelian Bear Dog which was used for elk hunting and we also had a Bear Dog litter, with seven puppies at home. My first, own dog, was a Black & Tan German Pinscher bitch Qesia of Leijliden, called "Skippy", and I bred my first litter with seven puppies, in the July 1979. The first Saluki came into my life 1980. We have also had Labradors since 1995 at home based to English lines. At the moment we have two Salukis and a Labrador puppy at home, and we have bred 26 Saluki litters and over 100 Champions – including several International Champions and Coursing and Racing Champions. During all those years I have been very much involved in the Club activities, as secretary, Show Committee Member, a Ring Steward, the President of the Finnish Saluki Club from 1995 to 2003 and assessing prospective judges. I have been a board member of Finnish Judges Society and a member of the Finnish Kennel Club Show and Judges Committee – at present I´m a member of the Finnish Kennel Club Standard working group. 3
2020 DOGS MR JOSE DOVAL SANCHEZ (SPAIN) I've been involved in dogs all my life. When I was a kid, we have, in our family an estate in the middle of the country, German Shepherd Dogs guarding the house, Spanish Mastiffs working with the cattle and German Shorthaired Pointers for hunting. At 18 years old I bought my first Golden Retriever female, and only 6 months later my first Labrador. This was 33 years ago and, since then, I've been showing and breeding mainly Golden and Labradors under the affix "De la Enna". I've shown all over Europe, at the most important All Breeds and Specialty Shows and I've been so lucky to be breeder or owner of Champions in 12 different countries, including International and World Winners. I have also owned and breed Brussels Griffons, Mini WH Dachshunds and recently Spanish Water Dogs but in a smaller capacity. I started my judging career in Open Shows in 2000, becoming International Championship Show Judge in 2006. I've judged Specialty, Club Shows and All Breeds Shows in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Holland, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, England, Scotland, Ireland, Austria, Greece, Russia, Israel, Argentina, China, Japan, South Africa and Australia. I'm the Chairman of the Spanish Retriever Club and I've given seminars for judges and breeders, in different breeds and matters but specially in Labradors and Golden Retrievers. I'm a Member of the Board at Alicante Canine Society since 1998 and Member of the Board at Spanish Kennel Club (RSCE) since 2017. Professionally I'm a journalist, specialized in Corporate Communication and I've been editor of several dog magazines, including the Spanish KC magazine, and written several books about dogs. I'm founder member of the World Dog Press Association (WDPA) being Vice President from 2011 to 2015 and President since 2016. MR MIKE BRADLEY (NZ) I’ve been involved in exhibiting Pedigree dogs since the late 1970’s with my wife Mary and our first litter registration in 1980 under the Bradwins prefix. Over the following years we achieved the illusive breed milestone of 50 individual Breed Surveyed stock, 50 excellent individual rated progeny and 50 hip scored progeny. Since that time the kennel has surpassed those achievements with 29 individual gold medal winners, 71 Individual Excellent rated progeny, well into the 80s with hips, 12 Endurance Qualified progeny, 12 with the Working Qualifications, 10 CDXs and 4 Obedience Champions. The kennel has competed at the Australian Nationals most recently with Ch Bradwins Lord Jester who was open Dog 7th in 2011. My first judging appointment was in 1988 at Waikato GSDC. I have had the privilege to judge in Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. I’ve also been privileged to have judged 5 times in China, twice in Pakistan and at their Seiger Show in Lahore in 2007 undertaking all classes plus the Philippines. For many years I’ve served as President of the NZ GSD Advisory Council, trained and qualified as a Breed Surveyor, and was asked to stand on a National basis with National elections for the New Zealand Kennel Club and their board in 2004. I’ve served eight years on the Executive Board, the last few as Senior Vice President, of the Kennel Club and working in many areas from judicial to ethics. You obtain quite a different view of dogdom as opposed to being in a single breed. Mike is currently President of the Southland German Shepherd Dog Club. 4
