As you see that we are all MAD; about TGH’s exceptional care, that is! Grab your top hats and pocket watches as you don’t want to be late for our very important date when the TGH Foundation presents “Alice In Wonderland; Mad About TGH!” Join us, as we celebrate our 21st anniversary and honor the imagination and everlasting spirit of our local healthcare providers and littlest patients at the area’s leading medical center, Tampa General Hospital. We are proud to have Gene & Patsy McNichols as our honorary chairmen. This year, all funds raised from “Alice in Wonderland: Mad About TGH!” will benefit the Tampa General Hospital Children’s Medical Center renovations and the Tampa General Hospital Foundation’s Fund for the Future. “Alice in Wonderland: Mad About TGH!” will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina. This year’s gala will feature a seated dinner and exciting live auction. Presenting Sponsor TGH’s Pediatric Emergency & Trauma Center is the first and only program in Florida to achieve verification from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) for the quality of its trauma care. TGH is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), a National Cancer Institute- supported clinical trials group and the world’s largest organization devoted exclusively to pediatric cancer research. Qualifying centers must meet strict criteria to become a member of the COG. TGH has a Pediatric Day Hospital dedicated to pediatric care (newborn through 21 years of age). The full-service Day Hospital provides patients with a child-friendly environment for procedures or radiology studies that require sedation. The Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program is one of just five in Florida, and is the only one in West Central Florida. The program is one of the busiest in the state. TGH is just one of three Florida Department of Health-designated pediatric brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation centers in the state. Premature infants and critically ill newborns are cared for in the 82-bed Jennifer Leigh Muma Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Neonatologists from USF Health and nurses trained in neonatal critical care staff our level IV NICU, the highest rating available.
