Carriers Primary Responsibilities 1. Be on the dock during loading and unloading and verify loading procedures and product temperatures. 2. Keep close track of the trailer temperature during transit. 3. Be on the unloading dock to verify load condition and product temperatures. 7
Distribution Centers Primary Responsibilities 1. Verify product temperature upon arrival 2. Document, any problems 3. Take pictures as soon as a problem is identified 4. Note any trailer issues such as torn or missing chutes 5. Fill out a Potentially Abused Load form if you have any temperature issues 6. Turn off the monitor immediately 7. Download the information 8
Sensitech Wendy’s and QSCC work closely with Sensitech to help monitor temperature sensitive product while in transit, and to provide technical support for Cold Chain issues.

Wendy’s Product Disposition Flowchart - notes The temperature of product on every refrigerated or frozen load must be checked upon receipt ∗ Use a probe thermometer to check the temperature between inner packaging, not between cases. ∗ Temp between inner packaging from a corner case of each of the last two pallets If the load must be investigated, destructive temperatures are to be taken, into the product itself. ∗ Use a probe thermometer to check the temperature of the product Make sure that all required information is sent to both the primary and secondary Wendy’s contacts. ∗ PAL form, monitor graph, pictures of internal temperatures being taken (SHOWING BOTH PROBE AND PRODUCT TOGETHER IN THE SAME PICTURE) ∗ Provide all required information as quickly as possible. 27
