You are invited on board the stately Gary Brown MS Zuiderdam for the 2021 Welcome to another MEDITERRANEAN memorable Bridge Cruise Cruise/Holiday with Gary Brown and his OZ Bridge Travel team. Gary is author of 6 Bridge books, with one winning the prestigious 2007 American Bridge Teachers’ Association’s ‘Book of the Year’. He also created Flash Cards (the Ultimate Guide by the Bridge Player’s Side). He runs duplicates, teaches and organises Bridge Holidays around the globe – having now hosted over 55 Cruise Holidays/Bridge Boot Camps. Our focus is always on making the experience – your ‘trip of a lifetime’. The Bridge program is extensive, but casual. You play only when you want. A partner is guaranteed. Non-Bridge playing spouses often join us, so please bring yours along! There is much to see and do! Bridge Program Please note that every ‘Sea Day’ we will have a session of duplicate and 2 one-hour clinics. Even on Port Days there will be an afternoon mini-duplicate for the keeners who return to the ship. DAY 1 Thursday 17 June 2021 Depart Australia Today we depart Australia on our overnight flight to Venice. DAY 2 Friday 18 June 2021 Venice, Italy This afternoon we arrive into Venice and transfer to our hotel. After checking in we will have a walking tour of Venice to visit St Mark’s Square, see the Grand Canal, St Mark’s Cathedral, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. We will wind our way through the narrow alleyways to the market square of the Rialto. DAY 3 Saturday 19 June 2021 Embarkation This morning will be at leisure. Late morning we will transfer to the port to board the luxurious MS Zuiderdam. This afternoon there will be time to familiarise yourself with the ship before setting sail. Be up on deck as we sail out of spectac- ular Venice. DAY 4 Sunday 20 June 2021 Split, Croatia Today we visit Split, the second largest city in Croatia. The Old Town grew up around the Emperor Diocletian’s vast Roman Palace. We have a morning sight- DAY 5 Monday 21 June 2021 At Sea seeing tour, during which we visit the interior courtyard of the Roman complex A day at sea is the perfect opportunity to explore the facilities of the ship. Morning and the Golden Gate, the main entrance to Diocletian’s Palace. We visit the clinics followed by lunch and afternoon Bridge. Baptistry of St John a small, beautiful building consecrated in the sixth century. We see the Renaissance Town Hall on People’s Square surrounded by Venetian DAY 6 Tuesday 22 June 2021 Argostoli, Greece buildings. This afternoon there will be a clinic before a welcome drinks party to This morning we arrive on the beautiful island of Kefalonia and the resort town of formally welcome the group to the ship. Argostoli. We have a free morning to wander through the town and see the local shops. There will be afternoon Bridge. DAY 7 Wednesday 23 June 2021 Chania, Crete Today we arrive in Chania, Crete. On our sightseeing tour today we will travel inland through the Old Town to visit and explore the Minoan Palace of Knossos, legendary home of the Minotaur. We will walk through the ruins and excavations of the island’s vast ancient palace and learn about the Greek mythological tales that are linked to it. DAY 8 Thursday 24 June 2021 Rhodes, Greece This morning we arrive in Rhodes, the largest island of the archipelago called Dodecanese, and the capital of this group of Greek Islands. It is world renowned for being the site of Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of the Ancient world. The town of Rhodes lies within the walls of a very well preserved Venetian Castle, built by the Knights of Saint John. We will enjoy a sightseeing tour of this castle as well as the medieval Old Town before returning to the ship for afternoon Bridge.

Day 11 Sunday 27 June 2021 Valletta, Malta The capital of Malta, Valletta was founded by the Knights of St John in 1566. Its purpose was to strengthen the Order’s position on the island, following the siege of Malta by the Turks in 1565. The sightseeing tour includes visits to St Johns Co- Cathedral and the magnificent Palace of the Grand Masters. We also visit Mdina, Malta’s ancient capital and a medieval walled town situated on a hill in the centre of the island. In the afternoon we will check in to our hotel. DAY 16 Friday 2 July 2021 Rome, Italy This morning we will visit the Vatican Museum, with a wealth of artistic treasures, and the spectacular Sistine Chapel. The afternoon will be at leisure. DAY 17 Saturday 3 July 2021 Depart After breakfast we disembark and are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Australia. DAY 18 Sunday 4 July 2021 Arrive Australia We arrive in Australia today and tour arrangements conclude.
