Cringleford Home Learning Year 2 Good morning Kingfishers and Nightingales! We hope you have had a good day yesterday and managed to get out for some daily exercise with your family. Here is Year 2’s home learning for Thursday 21st January 2021 Here is the pre-record morning ‘Hello!’ and run through of the days learning which you can find here: Kingfishers - Hello Nightingales - Hello Today, we will end the morning with a ‘live’ zoom get together. Our class zooms can be an opportunity for us to share news and/or work, have an assembly, story, sing some songs so on. Our zooms will be at 11:30. Please do get in touch if there is anything, we can do to support you. On Monday the 1st of February we would love for you to try some Pudding Lane baking! We thought a ‘live’ cooking lesson could get a little messy so we will be filming and recording a cooking lesson for you to watch and follow. We will also upload the written instructions. We know lots of parents will be working and it could be difficult to bake during the week so we thought you may want to bake at the weekend instead (either 30th/31st). To make the Puddling Lane Cakes you will need: Self-Raising Flour, Caster Sugar, currents/sultanas (optional), butter, milk, 3 eggs. If you would like to join in, please have your ingredients ready on Monday the 1st of February or before. We will post the simple recipe and video on Friday the 30th . Then, join us on Monday during your zoom to enjoy eating a cake and listen to a story! We would love to see any photos you have of you baking, to share with the class. A PE and maths warm up today! If you enjoy this warm up Jack Hartman does plenty of variations Count to 100 with exercises

Watch here: Writing a News Report You will also find a news report template which you are welcome to use if you have a printer. Not to worry if you don’t have a printer, you could try setting your writing out in a similar way. • You can access the writing template on the blog or on Teams. • You don’t need to send me your news report until you have finished. You will also have Friday to finish your report off and draw your picture. This week we would like you to trial sending us your finished news report on teams. Login to Teams and select ‘assignments’ on the left- hand side. If you are unable to do this contact us or send via email as last resort. Many thanks!
