REGISTRATIONS REFUNDS Participants will receive a refund when a Registration is required prior to the start of any program is cancelled due to lack of participants, program unless otherwise noted. facilities, or qualified instruction. Free Community Events Family Music Bingo All Ages Friday, March 15, 6:00-8:30pm, Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center Family Bingo - with a twist. Instead of listening for numbers to be called, you'll be listening for the kid friendly songs on your bingo card to be played! Prizes for kids, fun for all; parents must accompany children. Start times: 9:30am ages 1-3, 9:45am ages 4-6, 10:00am ages 7-10 Pitch, Hit, and Run Ages 7-14 Saturday, April 20, 8:00am, Paine Field (Little League Fields) Nationally sponsored event with winners advancing to state, and possible regional and national levels. Available to ages 7-14 (as of July 17, 2019). This FREE competition is based on three skills: batting, pitching, and base running. The competition is open to all skill levels. Metal cleats are not allowed. Boys and girls compete separately. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Youth Programs Tumble and Twirl Ages 2-5 Children will participate in activities that include rolling, balancing, and other creative movements. Your little athlete will be introduced to throwing, kicking, and catching with focus on teamwork, following directions, counting, colors, and making new friends. Parents must stay and participate in all activities. Coventry Teen Center Grades 6-12 A safe and clean space for Coventry youth to enjoy at NO COST. Our goal at the Teen Center is to create a fun and enriching experience in a supervised environment. Teens have access to Wi-Fi and are encouraged to bring their Chromebooks to work on their homework or school projects. There is ping-pong, air hockey, pool tables, board games, Young Adult novels, video games, and a Ms. Pac Man machine. Teens also have the option to participate in daily activities and themed monthly events. The Teen Center is located at 668 Washington Street and is open Monday - Thursday 2:30-6:30pm and Friday 2:30-8:30pm. The Teen Center will be CLOSED on the following dates: April 15 - 19, and May 27. The Teen Center will CLOSE for the year on June 13, 2019 and will re-open in September. Those interested in joining the Teen Center are welcome to one visit prior to registering as a member. Stop in for a full schedule of events, which includes: arts and crafts, holiday themed events, and movie night every Friday! Adult Fitness Classes All classes held at the Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center unless otherwise noted. Resistance Training Ages 16+ Improves muscular strength and endurance. During a resistance training workout you move your limbs against resistance provided by your body weight, gravity, bands, and dumbbells. Must provide own weights. Fee: $45.00 residents; $65.00 non-residents Mondays & Wednesdays, March 25 - May 20, 7:15pm-8:15pm (No class on 3/27, 4/15, 4/17, and 5/15) Yoga Ages 18+ Heal your body through gentle movement and relaxation. So what's pickleball? It's a sport that resembles tennis but a paddle is used to hit a ball similar to a Wiffle ball, on a badminton-sized court. Thursdays, 10:00am - 12:00pm Town Hall Annex Gym Outdoor play will begin mid-April, weather permitting, and will be held at Paine Field Tennis Courts, Thursdays, 10:00am - 12:00pm Paddles and balls may be borrowed from the Parks & Recreation office during normal business hours. Ages 18+ Co-ed Tennis This informal meet-up is designed to get local tennis players together to PLAY and most importantly, have fun. Please note that there is no instructor. Mondays, 9:00am - 11:00am Paine Field Tennis Courts - Play will begin mid-April, weather permitting.
