About b AXTAL “AXTAL” stands for ”Advanced XTAL Products” , where "XTAL" is a common abbreviation of "crystal" AXTAL GmbH & Co. KG is a fully privately owned company, founded in November 2003 by Bernd Neubig* and Brigitte Neubig. Facility location is in Mosbach/Baden in Southern Germany. AXTAL GmbH & Co. KG’s core business comprises advanced Frequency Control Products (FCP), i.e. mainly crystal oscillators and frequency & time modules. All products are ITAR‐free. AXTAL GmbH & Co. KG main focus is on high‐reliability high reliability oscillators for Military, Aerospace and Space, with high requirements for environmental conditions, ultra‐low noise oscillators, for applications like Radar, Aerospace and Space, and crystal‐controlled modules in the GHz range AXTAL GmbH & Co. KG incorporates the full value chain including R&D, design, manufacturing, screening and testing of our products from samples to production quantities completely in‐house. AXTAL GmbH & Co. Personal Profile Bernd Neubig Prior to founding AXTAL in 2003, Bernd Neubig was Vice President of Tele Quarz (TQ) (later Oak Frequency Control → Corning Frequency Control → Vectron → Microsemi, now Microchip) since 1983. He established the oscillator and filter product line at Tele Quarz, with full responsibility for R&D, operations and engineering. Prior to jjoiningg TQ, Q, Bernd Neubigg was 7 years y with KVG ((Kristallverarbeitungg Neckarbischofsheim), ), a manufacturer of frequency controlled products. He held positions as crystal design engineer and later R&D manager for oscillators and filters. 1969 Graduation as Diplom Engineer (Dipl.‐Ing.) for Telecommunications at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. Study of Physics at the Technical University in Berlin, Berlin graduation as Diplom Physicist (Dipl (Dipl.‐Phys Phys.)) in 1975 1975. Chairman of the German Section of IEC TC 49 Standardization Committee Member of the Scientific Committee of the European Time and Frequency Forum (EFTF). Member of the Technical Program Committee of the IEEE Frequency Control Symposium (FCS) Co‐author More than 30 scientific and technical publications, Co author of a book on Frequency Control components („Das Grosse Quarzkochbuch“, 1997) Lecturer of seminars on quartz crystals, oscillators, filters and related frequency control components November 2004: Recipient of the IEC 1906 Award from the International Electro technical Commission (IEC) June 2006: 2006 Recipient of the David P.
