Purpose Purpose: Provide mission and community partners with information impacting our JBER population. Intent: Share information regarding installation support, programs, initiatives and community activities with installation leaders, spouses and the JBER Community at-large. Format: The first portion of the session consists of topics pertaining to Mission & Readiness, Installation Support, Issues for Command Teams and What’s Next. Following these briefings, installation leadership will offer additional comments on various topics. Housing Resident Advocate • In 2019, Congress approved sweeping change to address military concerns regarding health and safety in privatized housing • “A commitment to do better, improve oversight, and rebuild trust in the Privatized Housing Program” • As a result, the FY20 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) established the Privatized Housing Resident Advocate position as part of the Dispute Resolution process for military members living in Privatized Housing (PH) • Resident Advocate is aligned & reports directly to, 673d Vice Wing (RA does not work for PH or Military Housing Office (MHO) • Goal: Advocate on behalf of families, assist in mediating resident disputes, acts as a Liaison between PH, MHO and residents to find acceptable solutions, and report trend analysis to Wing Leadership The Pacific’s Keystone Weapon System

Polar Paradise Pool March Open Swim (Polar Paradise Pool) Reservation instructions • Due to COVID mitigations as well as customer feedback, we are modifying our reservation process for Open Swim at the Polar Paradise Pool • Effective March 1st we activated Open Swim Reservations on Monday evenings at 6:00pm for the following Saturday and Sunday. The Pacific’s Keystone Weapon System
Open Swim Reservations Rules: Open Swim (Polar Paradise Pool) • Families may only reserve for those individuals within their own family/household. • Only one e-mail address may be used for each family. If any families are found in violation their reservation will be deleted. • Families are limited to reserving for one timeframe per day, and may not sign up for multiple open swim sessions on the same day. • Families may only reserve for ONE open swim session per month and are limited to no more than 6 slots. **If you have a family larger than 6 please reach out to us via email @ 673FSS.FSVS.buckneraquatics@gmail.com The Pacific’s Keystone Weapon System
Open Swim No-Show Policy Cancelation/No-Show Policy: Open Swim (Polar Paradise Pool) • If you can’t attend a reservation you’ve made, or no longer need the number of spots you indicated then it is required that you edit/delete your reservation to reflect the change so that other patrons have the opportunity to use the facility. • All edits/cancellations must be made more than 24 hours in advance of the day/time you have reserved so that other patrons have a reasonable opportunity to claim those unused spots. • All cancellations must be done via signup genius; cancelations via phone call will not be accepted. • If a reservation is missed (or if you reserved more spots than you used) and did not edit/delete your reservation 24 hours in advance it will be counted as a no show. • If you have 2 no-shows of any kind you will not be able to sign up in the future. Lap Swim Buckner Pool Rules: Lap Swim (Buckner Pool) • Lap Swim Reservations will open the day prior at 0000hrs. • At this time we are only accommodating patrons 16 & older for fitness swim. • Individuals may only reserve a single 1-hour time slot per day. • Each individual planning to attend must reserve and swim in their own lane. • Individuals are limited to one valid email address, individuals found to be using multiple email addresses will be deleted. • Individuals must check-in at the front desk before their slot, as well as check- out and exit the facility after their slot. • Individuals are not permitted to work out following their slot without first exiting and re-entering the facility. Make the Grade JBER Exchange Rewards Classroom Excellence with You Made the Grade Program JBER – Whether learning at home or in the classroom, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service is recognizing military students for academic accomplishments through its You Made the Grade program. First- through 12th-graders who maintain a B average or higher are eligible for a $5 Exchange gift card every grading period during the 2021 school year. Students who make the grade qualify to enter a worldwide sweepstakes to win a $2,000, $1,500 or $500 Exchange gift card. Drawings are held in December and June. The most recent sweepstakes winners were from Fort Bragg, Yokota Air Base and U.S. Army Garrison Baumholder.
