COALITION EDITION
The New Year is finally here and we are looking forward to the changes it will hopefully
bring in regards to the COVID19 pandemic. The Coalition will also experience some
significant changes this year!
With many of our dedicated volunteers not yet comfortable returning to volunteer service,
the Coalition continues to operate on alternating days at each campus. Client Services is
open for residents in need of assistance on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from
8:30-11:00 am. Staff is onsite during these days until 4:00 pm for other business. The
Coalition Resale Shops are open for shopping and donation drop off on Tuesday and
Thursday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
We recognize these hours may be difficult to remember, but our website and automated
phone system are always up to date. We appreciate everyone respecting these times at
each location as our staff continues to work to ensure smooth operations.
Our Board of Directors is currently in the midst of a search for the Coalition’s next
Executive Director. I have been honored to serve for the past ten years and have been
overwhelmed with the kind words and well wishes received since my announcement to
pursue new professional opportunities. I am confident you will provide an equally warm
welcome to my successor when announced!
Thank you seems inadequate for those who supported our cause during 2020. It was
certainly a year like no other and we are more grateful than ever for our generous
community. We are looking forward to welcoming back many of our volunteers,
supporters, donors and shoppers in the coming year as we are hopefully able to resume
more "normal" operations!

difference to Moore County families in need. Volunteering has proven to
decrease stress and anxiety while providing a sense of purpose and
increased self confidence. We would love to have you join our team!
