Edition 2 – June 2021 Marks Minute – A message from the chairman. 3 years have passed since we started our journey with this football club. Never in a million years did we expect to have so many players and coaches. Due to the hard work of the managers, coaches and the parents the club has gone from strength to strength. As a committee, we cannot thank you enough for your support. Mark Owen Chairman. The Teams U7’s Ninjas and SuperNinjas – Mike Player of the Month Ninjas – Noah Player of the Month SuperNinjas – Jacob Both teams continue to work really hard and have been learning about staying calm under pressure and how to attack quickly with the ball under control. It was really hard, again, to pick out the players of the month as both teams have so much effort in. U8’s Pandas – Annie/Nathan/Kirsten, Player of the Month – Oliver Our player of the month is Oliver, he has been excellent in both training and in matches, listening to the coaches and taking what he’s learned into the matches. Well done Oliver! This month has been about practicing and building team play and decision making. It has shown, on the pitch,
that every player has progressed so much and we are looking forward to next season playing 7-a-side on bigger pitches. I hope you’ve all enjoyed the half term holidays and playing in the sun. Keep up the great work Pandas and keep enjoying yourselves. Lastly, with a heavy heart, we have to say goodbye to Kirstin who, for family reasons, has stepped away from the Pandas. I want to say thank you very much for being by my side and bringing the best out of our team. The Pandas will miss you. Dragons – Callum Player of the Month - Eddie Dickinson. Eddie is the Player of the Month following some standout performances in training and on match day, his work rate is unquestionable and he has shown some real magic over the past four weeks. Thoroughly deserved, well done mate. It’s been another brilliant month for us with the Dragons, some brilliant performances, lots of hard work and some moments of individual quality. May was a lot more challenging than April, facing some stern opposition but we stood firm and gave a real good account of ourselves, in all the games, which is all we can ask for. In training we’ve worked on counter-pressing and transitioning for the past month with some conditioned games that the team have thrived on. This month also included the small matter of a derby win against the CTFC Wolves which is something we deserved after the previous two games were really tight contests. We’ve also learned, recently, that we have been selected for a final vs Nantwich Town Yellow Weavers on the final day of the season with a cup game that gives us an excellent chance to finish a stop/start, chaotic year with a trophy.
Terriers – Rich Player of the Month – Charlie Charlie has shown great team spirit and works his socks off in training every week. He keeps the team together with his great camaraderie and motivation to learn. His never give up attitude is a great attribute to have and he’s a pleasure to coach and have a good old chat with. Lions – Mark V Player of the Month – Jensen The Lions have been involved in some tough matches this month but, result aside, their performances have been great. We, as a team, are busy preparing for next season already by playing in 9-a- side matches against other Crewe Town FC teams, including the rules involved and I’m sure we’ll be ready for September and in confident mood going forward. Our player of the month is a young man who has impressed the coaches since the return from lockdown and has made the left wing his position with some dazzling shows and a hard work ethic in matches. Well done, Jensen. Going into next month we are training on defensive work and the transition from defence to attack. Leopards and Tigers – Steve Player of the month for the Tigers – Brad Player of the month for the Leopards – Harry Both teams have been working really hard, in training, and it’s showing in the matches. Brads great partnership with Jack, at the back, has helped stop the Tigers conceding goals and he even stepped up to play in goal this week. Harry has played some amazing football with silky skills and fast runs down the wings, he has helped himself to a few goals along the way as well. We go again at training, on Tuesday nights! A big welcome to Kingsley, who joined the Tigers last week. Keep working hard boys and keep making me and Lee proud.
Vipers – Gary and Andy Player of the Month – Connor Stubbs This month the Vipers have been working hard on their passing and learning to be more vocal with each other. The boys work very hard every week and put 100% into both training and matches. We would like to welcome Aaron who is improving with every passing week, hoping to be match ready for next season. Player of the month, Conor Stubbs for his strength and his determination to his best every game. Wolves – Jamie Wolves Player of the Month – Lucas Solid performances every week and, more recently, filling in at centre back, winning Player of the Match. The team have had a tough month, results wise, but their spirits remain high and now every outfield player in the squad has scored this season which is pleasing.
Womens and Ladies – Paul Player of the Month Ladies – Faye Player of the Month Women – Casey The Ladies and Womes teams will be enteringt their first tournament on Sunday 6th June, at Moss Farm and, if current form is anything to go by, both team will do very well. Both team recently played Sandbach United Ladies and won 3-1 (Ladies) and 4-0 (Womens). The progress being made by both teams has been phenomenal and each player has progressed massively, it’s been a joy to watch. Keep up the hard work ladies and let’s smash this tournament. Predators – Phil and Kieron Player of the Month – Leo. The lads are really getting better every week. Unfortunately, we’ve lost a couple of matches this month but they’re all putting in 110% and having fun. In training, as always, we are focussing on having fun and building fitness. Cougars – Pete Player of the Month – Tyler MacDonald. Tyler continues to prove what a great goalkeeper he is, he improves every week and always strives to improve in training and matches. Although his shots received per game has reduced dramatically over the last 5 years, he is always focussed and switched on, ready for when he is needed. He is also a huge part of the communication in the team as he is talking to and instructing the players in front of him, showing signs of being a great leader and captain in the future. This month the team are still heavily focussed on fitness in our training sessions, also working in tight situations to keep possession of the ball.
We only had one defeat this month which was such a tight game and undeserved. This is testament to our team and how far they have come. All trhis is down to the players in a well knitted squad. AllStars – Lee AllStars Player of the Month – Calum Tidd Calum has been the most improved week on week and the most consistent. As a team we focus on the basics until it’s cemented, we still add the fun factor but, along the way we always make sure we are learning something each session. We have 2 sessions a week with the 1st focussing on passing and movement into space, the 2nd session is centred on dribbling, fitness and game play. We now have our first win of the season under our belts and we are competing much more in matches.
Game Time Let’s play a little game………... Mark’s got training in ten minutes but he can’t leave the house with his brand new, super favourite, Leopard print pants. Can you help him find them??????
