While no one ever enjoys closing school, it is wonderful that we have the resources and the tools necessary for students to continue to grow and learn while at home. Teacher/Staff Appreciation Today kicks off teacher/staff appreciation week. Please take a few minutes to send your child's teachers a special note of appreciation. MALLORY AND FRIENDS MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR PAR As many of you know second grade's service learning project is to support Paradise Animal Rescue (PAR). This year the second grade was unable to take trips to PAR but they did host a collection of supplies for PAR. Second grader Mallory Sells was recently featured in the County Press for taking this a step further. Mallory and friends ran a bottle drive and collected over $900 dollars for PAR. This was hard work for Mallory, but a j t h l dd i !W b t d M ll !A j b!

Finley's artwork was chosen as an award winning poster to celebrate 2021 Work Zone Safety! Congratulations Finley! Quality work pays off! OLIVIA AND KHLOE MAKE AN IMPACT! Fourth graders, Olivia M and Khloe M., in Mr. Brady's homeroom recently worked to raise funds to support American Red Cross. The girls wanted to help families that are impacted by emergencies like fires and the pandemic. The pair raised $40 with the help of school mates to donate to Red Cross! Great job!

For those that drop off or pick up on the north/east side of the building, please pull all the way forward to the middle school door steps when picking up and dropping off. This will allow more people to pick up and drop off at a time. 2. If you are dropping off your child and you need to get out of your car to help your child out, please do not stay in the drop off line, park your car in a spot and help your child out of the car. This will prevent the drop off line from backing up. 3. As a reminder, if you are walking up to where students or staff are waiting you MUST WEAR A MASK, even if you are remaining outside. 4. Please drive slowly and carefully in the parking lots. Safety must be everyone's first priority. OLYMPICS IS ON THE SCHEDULE! Chatfield's 24th Annual Olympic Day is scheduled for Friday, June 11! Parent/Family volunteers will be invited to spend the day and help out running Olympic events. Here is what we know so far: All participants, volunteers, and guests will be required to wear masks while on school grounds. We will have a picnic lunch for all, but not the traditional Olympic buffet. Olympic
events/activities will be adjusted to plan for social distancing and santizing of equipment.
