1) AVAILABLE BENEFITS AND SERVICES OFFERED COLLEGIO UNIVERSITARIO DI TORINO RENATO EINAUDI (henceforth ‘Collegio’), foundation ex art. 14 ss. c.c. registered to the Register of Legal Persons at the Prefecture of Torino and private-law entity with no profit-making purposes, as well as merit-based University College legally recognized and accredited by Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca1(MIUR) in accordance with DD.MM. nn. 672 e 673 dated 2016, announces a competition for the academic year 2019/2020 for: - n. 16 ROOMS reserved to students enrolled for the academic year 2019/20 at PhD Programs at the University of Turin and Politecnico di Torino. The awards are divided as follows: n. 8 ROOMS reserved to doctoral candidates enrolled at University of Turin; n. 8 ROOMS reserved to doctoral candidates enrolled at Politecnico di Torino. - n. 4 ROOMS reserved to students enrolled for the academic year 2019/20 at 2nd level specializing master’s degrees, specialization courses and graduate schools at University of Turin, Politecnico di Torino, Istituto Europeo di Design, Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design and other higher education institutions in Turin. These courses must have a standard duration of at least one year. - n. 4 ROOMS reserved to students already staying at Collegio Einaudi during the academic year 2018/2019 as students of Master’s Degrees enrolling for the academic year 2019/20 at PhD Programs, 2nd level specializing master’s degrees, specialization courses and graduate schools at University of Turin, Politecnico di Torino, Istituto Europeo di Design, Istituto di Arte Applicata e Design and other higher education institutions in Turin. The winners of the competition will be awarded with a single room in one of the 5 Residence Halls of Collegio Einaudi; the duration of the benefit is from 16th September 2019 to 1st August 2020 included1, excluded the winter holidays period (from 25th December 2019 to 5th January 2020) The services offered are described in the guidelines published on the website of Collegio Einaudi, which reports further information on the residence halls. 2) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS The awards will be assigned to students, enrolled for the academic year 2019/20 at PhD Programs, 2nd level specializing master’s degrees, specialization courses and graduate schools at University of Turin, Politecnico di Torino, Istituto Europeo di Design, Istituto di Arte Applicata e Design and other higher education institutions in Turin, included in the MIUR’s list of institutions (anagrafe studentesca). 3) HOW TO APPLY AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS The application form must be filled in by using the form published in the section “Bandi e Premi – Ammissione e Conferma” on the website of Collegio Einaudi The application may be filled in within two different cohorts, as follows: APPLICATION COHORT DEADLINE APPLICATION FORM Call for admissions Post-graduate students Page 2/6
1st cohort September 15th, 2019 2nd cohort May 31st, 2020 Students applying for this call have to: 1) fill in the personal and academic data section; 2) upload the Identity Card or Passport; 3) upload a motivation letter; 4) upload the certification of admission or enrolment at the study course for the academic year 2019/20. Those applications that do not comply with the conditions above will not be taken into account. 4) ROOM AWARD Given the merit criteria resulting in the selection procedures for the admission of the candidates to post- degree courses, the accommodation awards will be assigned in each of the two brackets in order of the applications receipt. Priority will be given to students winner of a ministerial scholarship or assigned by other national or international institutions. Awards will be assigned in the 2nd cohort only if some of them have not been assigned in the 1st one, due to absence of suitable candidates; they will be assigned along with the reception of applications, at most by May 31st, 2020. In case of awards not assigned due to absence of suitable candidates among students enrolled at specializing courses, Collegio Einaudi may decide to increase the number of awards to be assigned to students enrolled at PhD programs within the 2nd cohort, to be divided between University and Politecnico di Torino’s doctoral candidates. On the contrary, in case of awards not assigned due to absence of suitable candidates among students enrolled at PhD Programs, Collegio Einaudi may decide to increase the number of awards to be assigned to students enrolled at 2nd level specializing master’s degrees, specialization courses, graduate schools and advanced training courses. 5) ACCEPTANCE OF THE ACCOMMODATION BENEFIT AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS In order to accept the accommodation benefit, selected students have to: - pay the 1st installment and the deposit and send an e-mail with the payment receipts to concorsi@collegioeinaudi.it, within the deadlines stated here Ch. 6 - Annual fees (for further information, see the section of the conditions of the accommodation benefits on the official website); - sign the Housing Agreement, received via e-mail upon the awarding of the benefit; Non-payment of the 1st installment and of the deposit or non-signing of the Housing Agreement within the above-mentioned deadline will result in rejecting the award, which will be assigned to another student. Students awarded with the accommodation benefit will also have to send the following documents, following the procedures that will be indicated in the award conditions: 1) upon receiving the room: a self-declaration regarding the health status, which must not be produced more than three months after the date of issue, stating that the student is not carrying infectious diseases which may jeopardize living in community (template available here). 2) Within 30 days from the awarding of the benefit, a certificate (confirmation e-mail from ASLTO1 or scan of the medical record) to stating the choice of the primary physician care in Turin. According to the art. 18 of the Students’ Regulation (available on the website of Collegio Einaudi), the choice of the primary physician care in Turin is compulsory for those students who will stay at Collegio Einaudi for at least 6 months, no matter their residence is. 3) By November 15th 2019, a certificate, or a self-certification signed by the student, stating the university Call for admissions Post-graduate students Page 3/6
enrolment for the academic year 2019/20. Collegio Einaudi may request, at its discretion and at any time, the original hard-copies. 6) ANNUAL FEE The annual fee valid for the academic year 2019/20 amounts to € 7.000,00; this amount is partially covered by Collegio while the students’ contribution amounts to € 2.813,00 per academic year. The student’s contribution should be paid within the following instalments: - 1° instalment and deposit amounting to € 200,00: to be paid before entering to Collegio within the deadlines set and communicated through the admission notification. Selected students within the first cohort will be requested to pay € 1.060,00 as first instalment. For the applicants that will be selected within the 2nd cohort, the first instalment will be calculated as follows: - Admission in September 2019: € 1.060,00 - Admission in October 2019: € 795,00 - Admission in Novembre 2019: € 530,00 - Admission in December 2019: € 265,00 - 2° instalment amounting € 1.060,00 to be paid by 20/12/2019. For the applicants selected within the 2nd cohort from February 2020, the 1st instalment will not be requested while the 2nd instalmne twill be calculated as follows: - Admission in February 2020: € 795,00 - Admission in March 2020: € 530,00 - Admission in April 2020: € 265,00 - 3° instalment amounting € 693,00 to be paid by 05/04/2019. For the applicants selected within the 2nd cohort in June 2020, the 3rd instalment will amount to € 530,00. In case of particular disadvantage economic conditions, Collegio will evaluate different payments deadlines. In case of late payment of the 2nd and 3rd instalments (or of a share part of them), arrears will be applied as follows: Delay ≤ 3 calendar days Delay ≤ 10 calendar days Delay > 10 calendar days Arrears € 10,00 € 25,00 € 50,00 Arrears could be paid by bank transfer or in cash; in the latter case, an appointment has to be scheduled by sending an e-mail to concorsi@collegioeinaudi.it. In case of non-payment of the arrears, Collegio Einaudi will have recourse to the student’s deposit. The amounts received as arrears during the academic year 2019/20 will be used to finance scholarships and/or activities for Collegio’s students during the year 2019. 7) HOUSING AGREEMENT The legal relationship between Collegio Einaudi and the students is regulated by a Housing Agreement, according to the Italian law (D.L. 68/2012, art. 12 co. 5). Each student must sign the Housing Agreement upon the awarding of the benefit; a signed copy of the contract must be sent with the modalities communicated at a later stage. 8) PERSONAL FORMATIVE PROGRAM AND “DIPLOMA DI COLLEGIO”1 Each student of Collegio Einaudi must sign a Personal Formative Program (henceforth “PFP”), along with the Housing Agreement, for each year spent in Collegio Einaudi, as required by the Italian law (D.M. 673/2016). The PFP aims to offer integrative, transversal and interdisciplinary education, aiming to train responsible adults, having particular attention to the common good. Each Student can choose his own path within the Annual Formative Plan (PFA) prepared by Collegio. As per the above mentioned Ministerial Decrees, the minimum hours of training provided for each student are 25 hours for post-graduate students. A personal mentor may also be chosen. If students do not complete their PFP and do not fill the final Assessment Questionnaire, they will not be able to apply for the Call for confirmation of the next academic year: the confirmation of the accommodation is strictly related to the realisation of the PFP. 9) FINAL CHECK-OUT BY THE END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 9.1) Partial refund on the paid student contribution In case of early withdrawal from the Housing Agreement, the following refund will be applied: Students selected within the 1st cohort and who will decide to withdraw before entering to Collegio and after the signature of the Housing Agreement, the refunds of COLUMN 1 will be applied. 1 The “Diploma di Collegio” is a certification provided by Collegio Einaudi in which all the formative activities attended by the students at Collegio Einaudi are described, according to the Italian law (DM 672 e 673 dell’8/09/2016). No refunds of the 3rd installment will be applied; however, partial refunds will be applied in case the accommodation is awarded to another student. The above mentioned refund will be done only in case the withdrawn student has successfully completed the minimum hours of PFP according to the “DISCIPLINARE PFP” in force. In case of international transfers for the refund, the student will be charged with additional fees (applied by the respective banks). 9.2) Deposit Return The deposit return will be done only in case the withdrawn student has successfully completed the minimum hours of PFP according to the “DISCIPLINARE PFP” in force. The deposit return is due within the end of the month following the refund application (available here). In case of international transfers for the refund, the student will be charged with additional fees (applied by the respective banks). Students wishing to leave Collegio Einaudi before Christmas holidays or before the payment of the 3rd installment have to notify it as scheduled: - By December 1st, 2019 for those students leaving Collegio Einaudi within Christmas holidays. - By February 15th, 2020: for those students leaving Collegio Einaudi by April 5th, due date to pay the 3rd installment. Those who will not meet these deadlines will be fined with a penalty amounting to the deposit. 10) MOBILITY AND ABSENCES FROM COLLEGIO Please follow the guidelines available at the following link. 11) CONFIRMATION OF THE ACCOMMODATION BENEFIT The accommodation benefit will be confirmed by those students complying with the following conditions: - Prosecution of their course during the academic year 2017/2018 mainly in Turin. Collegio Einaudi may check the duration of the course. The accommodation is reserved for the effective stay in Turin. - According to the Italian law (D.M. 672 and 673 of September 8th, 2016), if students do not complete their PFP and do not fill the final Assessment Questionnaire, they will not be able to apply for the Call for confirmation of the next academic year: the confirmation of the accommodation is strictly related to the realisation of the PFP. The accommodation benefit may be extended at most to the month of July following the award of the degree/title. 12) SECTION 5 – PRIVACY DISCLAIMER By submitting the application, the applicant accepts the privacy disclaimer (attachment A of this call) available at the following link.
